Encapsulated signage and method of production
An article of manufacture (160) in the form of a sign or label comprises a disclosed embodiment, produced in accordance with an example method. A substrate (170) is provided which forms a flat planar surface area having a desired shape, thickness and size. A design layer is formed through the use of inks and/or paints (172) applied to the substrate (170) in a predetermined pattern. When the inks and/or paints (172) are applied to the substrate (170), no ink or paint (172) is applied on one or more edges formed around the periphery of the sign (160) for an edge bare border (164). Also, a mounting hole (168) is provided, and an opening bare border (166) is formed around the mounting hole (168). A protective coating (176) is then applied over the inks and/or paints (172) so as to provide a protective cover. Also, the protective coating (176) is applied to the edge bare border (164) and the openings bare border (166) so that the protective coating (176) fully covers not only the inks and/or paints (172), but also all borders, thereby fully encapsulating edge bare borders (164) and an openings bare border (166) between the protective coating and the substrate.
Marking strip
A marking strip has a plurality of marking elements which are connected to each other by a connecting region. The marking strip having the marking elements is designed to mark electrical devices, in particular electrical devices that can be arranged next to each other such as terminal blocks. Each of the marking elements has a marking plate including at least one writing field which can be provided with information. On the side facing away from the writing field, each of the marking elements has a locking contour which is integrally connected with the marking plate. The marking strip is formed of at least two different plastic materials of different hardness. The locking contour of each marking element is formed of a harder plastic material, and the marking plate is formed of a softer plastic material at least in the region of the writing field. The connecting region between the marking elements is formed of the softer plastic material.
Adhesive label with water-based release coating
An adhesive label with a water-based release coating and methods for applying the water-based release coating to the adhesive label are provided. The water-based release coating is a non-silicon based formulation having a fluorochemical. The water-based release coating can be applied in a single-pass process or a double-pass process when manufacturing the adhesive label.
ADHESIVE TAPE CARTRIDGE, ADHESIVE TAPE ROLL, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING AN ADHESIVE TAPE ROLL
The disclosure discloses an adhesive tape cartridge including an adhesive tape roll. The adhesive tape roll winds an adhesive tape around a predetermined axis in a housing. The adhesive tape includes a base layer, and a first particle-containing adhesive layer. The first particle-containing adhesive layer is disposed on first side of the base layer in a thickness direction and comprises an adhesive to which particles having an average particle diameter of 10 m or more are added. On condition that the first particle-containing adhesive layer is virtually divided into two equal parts as a first region on the first side in the thickness direction and an second region on an second side in the thickness direction, a volume proportion of the particles to the adhesive in the second region is larger than a volume proportion of the particles to the adhesive in the first region.
Produce wash label
A dissolvable produce washing label includes a dissolvable facestock impregnated with a produce cleanser; an adhesive layer; and a coating to seal and protect from water and humidity. When rubbed and washed with water by the end user the top coating wears and breaks to expose the dissolvable substrate, thereby dissolving the facestock and releasing the produce wash.
Drug Delivery Device with Messaging Label
A drug delivery device includes a housing, a reservoir, a cannula, one or more light sources, a label, and a controller. The reservoir is disposed within the housing. The cannula is connected to the reservoir for delivering a drug from the reservoir to the patient. The light sources are disposed adjacent the exterior surface of the housing, and each serves to indicate one of one or more operational conditions of the device. The label is fixed to the housing adjacent the light sources, and includes one or more informational messages. Each informational message is aligned with one of the light sources for conveniently conveying to a user an operational condition of the device as indicated by the corresponding light source. Finally, the controller is operably connected to the reservoir and the light sources. The controller is configured to actuate the reservoir to deliver the drug, and to selectively illuminate the one or more light sources based on the operational condition of the drug delivery device.
Method for digitally printing color selection cards by matching the base inks to the base paints, dyes, or plastics
A system and method are described for the production of color selection swatch cards for point of purchase displays of custom blended paints, textiles or plastics using a digital inkjet printer and custom blended inkjet inks based on a set of base inks that can be blended using commercial match prediction software. The base inks are matched spectrally to the base paints, dyes or plastics.
Pressure-sensitive label
A pressure sensitive label and method for preparing same, the pressure sensitive label comprising: (a) a support portion, the support portion including at least a carrier layer; and (b) a transfer portion over the support portion for transfer of the transfer portion from the support portion to an article upon application of pressure to the transfer portion while the transfer portion is in contact with the article, the transfer portion including at least a printable layer in confronting relationship with the carrier layer, and an ink layer positioned between the printable layer and carrier layer.
Advertising Tape and Method Thereof
The present invention discloses a tape for packaging that includes removable labels consisting of multiple layers of media and a method for production of a continuous tape including a process for strategic placement of the labels along the tape.
Method for applying advertising media to packaging, method of advertising, and system for applying a communication member on a packaging material
A method of applying a communication member carrying information to a packaging material includes feeding a packaging material in a first direction and applying a communication member to a surface of the packaging material with an adhesive. Both the communication member and the adhesive are simultaneously removable from the packaging material by a user such that substantially no adhesive residue remains on the bag upon communication member removal. A system for applying a communication member on a packaging material that is transported on a packaging material line includes a label applicator and a supply of communication members positioned in communication with the label applicator.
