Label web with longitudinally-spaced arrays of double-sided adhesive labels
A label web and method utilize a substrate, first and second longitudinally spaced label arrays each including two or more double-sided adhesive labels removably attached to the substrate, and a peelable protective covering web extending generally coextensive with the substrate. The label arrays and the peelable protective web are configured such that the peelable protective web is selectively removable to expose the first label array while remaining removably attached to the second label array, with both the first and second label arrays remaining removably attached to the substrate, to thereby facilitate removal of all labels in the first label array as a group while the peelable protective covering web remains in place over the second label array.
CODE-SHIELD LABEL
A label including a first strip including a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The first strip includes an opaque material. The first strip further includes a first area proximate the first end. The first area includes a first length along a longitudinal axis common to the first strip. The label also includes a second strip including a third end and a fourth end opposite the third end, wherein the second strip includes a transparent material. The second strip is laminated over the first strip such that the third end is disposed outside the first area. The fourth end extends beyond the second end a distance at least equal to the first length.
Method for Ablating a Label With a Laser
A method for ablating a label having a topcoat layer and a sacrificial layer includes irradiating at least one target region on the topcoat layer with a laser beam and further includes removing the topcoat layer and at least a portion of the sacrificial layer in the at least one target region.
MARKER FOR OBJECTS THAT INDICATES THE DEGREE OF RELEASE INTO THE ENVIRONMENT OF ELEMENTS THAT ARE DIFFICULT OR SLOW TO BIODEGRADE (HARMFUL ELEMENTS)
The marker of the degree of release of elements that are difficultly or slowly biodegradable (harmful elements) into the environment for objects consisting of an element (1, 1′, 1″) with a structure which ostensibly modifies the appearance thereof at a rate in accordance with the wear of the fabric of the article (2) for which it is intended, warning the user about it. Said element consists of a button (1) or a label (1′) comprising two layers that are different in appearance, a surface one (11) and a central or lower one (12), the outer one (11) being “able to be worn out” until it disappears at a rate in accordance with the fabric of the article (2). In another variant, the element is a seam (1″) consisting of a thread that is “able to be worn out” until it disappears at the rate in accordance with the deterioration of the fabric of the article (2) for which it is intended.
Zippered Label-Liner Combination
A label-liner combination is provided. A liner substrate is segmented into three portions by horizontal die cut ties made in the liner substrate. The three portions comprise a top portion, a liner tear strip, and a bottom portion. A label substrate is segmented into three portions by perforations a border portion, a label tear strip, and a center portion. A front side of the liner substrate is aligned with a backside of the label substrate such that the liner tear strip aligns within the label tear strip, the bottom portion of the liner substrate aligns with the center portion of the label substrate, and the top portion of the liner substrate is aligned above and below a top perforation for the label tear strip.
Modulating retroreflective piezoelectric multilayer film
Provided herein is a modulating retroreflective multilayer film comprising retroreflective elements, a piezoelectric layer, a photovoltaic layer, and an energy storage device. The stacked and transparent layered configuration of the film allows the retroreflective elements and the photovoltaic layer to be simultaneously illuminated by a narrow beam. The low power piezoelectric layer and the energy harvesting of the photovoltaic layer allow the retroreflector to be energetically self-sufficient and suitable for remote deployment. The flexible properties of the component layers allow the retroreflector to be adhered to nonplanar or irregular surfaces for the purpose of labeling and tagging.
Universal label
A sandwich-type, steam-sterilizable universal label for sterile products packaging can be used both on soft packaging and hard packaging. The universal label has different adhesives with different adhesive properties which are covered in such a way that they can be exposed selectively individually and separately from each other for their respective adhesive actions.
Label for wet applications
A label for a bottle where the label is comprised of a laminate where an outer layer (3) is a material susceptible to losing opaqueness when made wet, and an inner layer (5) behind this first layer which is a material that is opaque, and such that it will maintain such opaqueness when wet.
Film for sheet fed printing, sheets formed from such film and labels formed from such sheets
A plurality of plastic sheets to be fed into a high speed printer for forming printed labels and similar articles and a stack of printed labels formed form the sheets. Each of the sheets or labels includes a core layer and opposed, upper and lower outer skin layers. The upper outer skin layer includes a polyolefin polymer as the predominant component, by weight, thereof and is capable of receiving printed indicia thereon. The core layer includes a polyolefin polymer as the predominant component, by weight, of the core layer; preferably a high crystallinity polypropylene homopolymer. The lower outer skin layer includes a polyolefin polymer as the predominant component by weight therein; the improvement wherein the lower outer skin layer includes a blend of organic and inorganic antiblocking agents or a blend of inorganic antiblocking agents; the blend including less than 10%, by weight, of the lower outer skin layer.
Printing Base Material Having Excellent Weathering Resistance
Provided is a printing base material that can be printed by a laser printer, that has good (distinct) typability and printability, that remains durable (weather resistant) outdoors for three to six months or more, that has high productivity, that is low-cost, and that is configured from a polyester nonwoven fabric. In this printing base material, a binder layer serving as a printing surface is placed uniformly in the amount of 1.4 g/m.sup.2 to 18 g/m.sup.2 over the entire surface on one side of a polyester nonwoven fabric having a surface roughness (SMD) of 0.5 μm to 2 μm, a thickness of 40 μm to 300 μm, and a basis weight of 30 g/m.sup.2 to 200 g/m.sup.2, release paper may be placed using an adhesive layer on the surface on the side opposite from the binder layer, and the total thickness that can be printed by the laser printer is 90 μm to about 300 μm.
