Wash-off label, a combination of a wash-off label and an item
The invention relates to a wash-off label structure and an adhesive layer comprising a pressure sensitive hot melt adhesive layer sensitive to the washing conditions. According to an embodiment the adhesive layer comprises an acrylate composition curable with ultraviolet radiation and at least one modifier selected from a tackifier, a plasticizer and a filler, and wherein the peel adhesion from the labelled surface at 50-80° C. in alkaline aqueous solution of at least 30% less than the peel adhesion at room temperature of 23° C.±2° C. and relative humidity of 50%±5%. The invention further relates to a use of the label for recyclable or reusable packages, and a combination of a package and a wash-off label.
Packaging for smoking products having a marking thereon
A packaging for smoking products having an area with a warning relating to the health hazards of smoking thereon. The area includes at least one marking that is suitable for identification and/or authentication and/or track and/or trace purposes.
Overflow panel system for pharmaceutical container
A method of producing a label for a prescription pharmaceutical storage container for holding and dispensing a pharmaceutical for a patient including the steps of providing a label system having a first distinct label section and a second distinct label section; determining whether a length of prescription information and warning information fits entirely on the first distinct label section; upon determining that the length of the prescription information and warning information does not fit entirely on the first distinct label section, printing indicia providing the prescription information on the first distinct label section and at least a portion of the warning information on the second distinct label section; and upon determining that the length of the prescription information fits entirely on the first distinct label section, printing indicia providing the prescription information and the warning information only on the first distinct label section.
THEFT DETERRENT LABEL AND PACKAGING INCORPORATING THE SAME
A theft deterrent label comprises a flexible body portion, the body portion comprising: a first destructible section; a second destructible section, the first destructible section and the second destructible section each having at least one weakness pattern provided therein; and a non-destructible section interposed between the first destructible section and the second destructible section and substantially devoid of any weakness pattern.
SMART LABELS
Smart labels, methods of operating smart labels, and associated contexts in which such smart labels may be used are disclosed. The smart label, for use in conjunction with consumer product packaging, comprises an energy harvester to capture ambient energy to provide a source of electrical energy and electronic circuitry powered by the electrical energy. A fuse provides an electrical connection between the energy harvester and the electronic circuitry and destruction of the fuse permanently disconnects the energy harvester from the electronic circuitry. Unnecessary continued operation of the electronic circuitry powered by the energy harvester can therefore be prevented, for example when the consumer product packaging is disposed of or recycled, which may be an undesirable heat source. Smart labelling, and a connected network of smart bins which can read the smart labelling, may also be used to promote consumer recycling of consumer product packaging.
Multilayer Label
A label for a package that includes a base layer and a top layer attached to the base layer is disclosed. The base layer includes a central surface adapted to receive written markings. The top layer covers at least part of the base layer and includes perforations such that a detachable part of the top layer has a perimeter at least partially defined by the perforations. The detachable part includes a front surface and a back surface that faces the base layer while the perforations remain intact. The front and back surfaces of the top layer are adapted to receive written markings. And, the top layer is opaque such that while the perforations remain intact, any written markings on the back surface of the detachable part or on the central surface of the base layer are not visible from a vantage point outside of the label.
IN-MOLD LABEL, AND CONTAINER WITH IN-MOLD LABEL
A decrease in the adhesiveness of an in-mold label can be suppressed even when a silicone transferred from the protective layer side to the heat-sealable resin layer side. An in-mold label includes a substrate layer, a printed layer provided on one surface of the substrate layer, and a heat-sealable resin layer provided on the other surface of the substrate layer, a protective layer containing a silicone is provided on an outermost surface on one surface side of the substrate layer on which the printed layer is provided, and an adhesive strength decrease-inhibiting layer containing a (meth)acrylic acid based copolymer having a polar group is provided on an outermost surface on the other surface side of the substrate layer on which the heat-sealable resin layer is provided.
Horticulture fastener
A fastener device adapted for attaching at least one tag (or other identifier) to an object. The fastener device comprises a T-bar component, a paddle component, and a filament component flexibly attached to both the T-bar component on one end and the paddle component on the other end. In some embodiments, the fastener device is deployable via a fastener dispensing device comprising a needle designed to puncture a hole in at least one tag and the object while also inserting the T-bar component through the hole. Once inserted, the paddle component exerts a cantilever spring force against at least one tag holding the tag(s) securely against the object.
METHOD AND KIT FOR LABELLING OBJECTS
A kit for labelling an object with a target label comprises an instrument having an end(s) for manipulating labels. Transfer label(s) adhered to the end of the instrument, the transfer label having a facestock having adhesive on at least one of its surfaces, an adhesion force A between a first surface of the facestock of the transfer label and the instrument being greater than an adhesion force B between a second surface of the transfer label and a target label. The instrument and transfer label are used to manually transfer the target label from a target label liner to an object by releasable adherence of the target label to the second surface of the transfer label. A method for labelling an object is also provided.
