A method for ablating a label having a topcoat layer and a sacrificial layer includes irradiating at least one target region on the topcoat layer with a laser beam and further includes removing the topcoat layer and at least a portion of the sacrificial layer in the at least one target region.

Patterned glass layers in electronic devices

An electronic device may include electrical components and other components mounted within an interior of a housing. The device may have a display on a front face of the device and may have a glass layer that forms part of the housing on a rear face of the device. The glass layer may be provided with regions having different appearances. The regions may be textured, may have coatings such as thin-film interference filter coatings formed from stacks of dielectric material having alternating indices of refraction, may have metal coating layers, and/or may have ink coating layers. Textured surfaces may be formed on thin glass layers and polymer films that are coupled to the glass layer. A glass layer may be formed from a pair of coupled glass layers. The coupled layers may have one or more recesses or other structures to visually distinguish different regions of the glass layer.

TIME-EXPIRING LABEL SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF MAKING

A time-expiring label system is provided that includes a release liner having a first label part, a second label part, and a third label part releasably secured thereto with an adhesive. The system further includes a first time-expiring component on the first label part and a second time-expiring component on the second label part. The first and second time-expiring components are configured so that, upon removal of the second label part from the release liner and placement onto the first label part, a time-expiring reaction commences. The third label part has textual and/or visual instructions for removing the second label part from the release liner and placing of the second label part onto the first label part.

CANNABIS FACILITY OPERATION METHOD

The invention comprises a method and/or an apparatus for operating a Cannabis facility generating a tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) containing product, comprising the step of labeling the THC containing product with a matrix bar code/quick response (QR) code, the cannabis containing product comprising at least two milligrams of a tetrahydrocannabinol substance, the QR code linking to product information associated with the THC containing product, the product information comprising at least one of a location, date of harvest, strain, and/or type of a plant containing a tetrahydrocannabinol substance in the THC containing product; an extraction method; a date and/or a location of manufacture of the THC product; a related laboratory report; and/or a link to a related web page.

Method and apparatus for avoidance of damage to concealed mechanical systems such as plumbing and the like

A method and apparatus for avoidance of damage to concealed mechanical elements during construction or repair of a structure. In one embodiment, a tag is provided for installation on a plumbing or similar element prior to such element being concealed by further construction. The tag is adapted to engage a concealed element in such a way that an indicator portion of the tab remains visible after further concealing structure is installed. The visible tab's location identifies the location of concealed elements and is preferably provided with indicia identifying such purpose. In a further embodiment of the invention, adhesive indicator tape is used in conjunction with an indicator tab. The indicator tape is adapted to be applied over concealing structure to generally identify the location and extent of concealed elements that may be susceptible to puncture or damage during subsequent construction or repair phases of a project.

Sealing film

A sealing film, comprising a carrier film and a plurality of functional layers comprising at least two color display layers and at least two adhesion-controlling layers, the sealing film having an adhesive layer for fastening to a base surface, the carrier film being at least partially detachable from the functional layers in order to bring the sealing film from a first state into a second state, at least one symbol arrangement being optically visible at least in a remainder in the second state, which at least one symbol arrangement is arranged in a first subregion and a second subregion. According to the invention, the functional layers and the adhesive layer are at least partially translucent and the functional layers comprise at least one additional color display layer and at least one additional adhesion-controlling layer, the functional layers being designed in such a way that the at least one symbol arrangement is optically better visible in the first subregion than in the second subregion on a light background and that the at least one symbol arrangement is optically better visible in the second subregion than in the first subregion on a dark background.

Forgery-preventing thread/yarn

According to the present invention, there is provided, at low cost, a thread/yarn for making it possible to easily determine whether a product is a genuine product or a forgery/imitation product, thereby suppressing the manufacture and marketing of forgery/imitation products. This forgery-preventing thread/yarn is formed by making use of a film comprising abase sheet and letters or images printed on the base sheet, the film being slit to have a width of 0.15 mm˜0.75 mm. A thread, yarn or a flat thread representing a genuine product can be cheaply manufactured since it can be obtained by simply slitting a film to a width of 0.15 mm˜0.75 mm. Further, it is possible to easily determine whether a product is a genuine product or a forgery/imitation.

A film structure with protection against manipulation includes a top film, a laser-inscribable layer which is arranged on the bottom side of the top film, and also a bottom film and a connecting layer for connecting the bottom film to the top film and the laser-inscribable layer. The connecting layer is arranged between the laser-inscribable layer and the bottom film. The film structure has an inscribed region and an uninscribed region. The top film is fused with the bottom film in the inscribed region of the film structure. As a result, it is virtually impossible to separate the top film with the inscribed layer from the bottom film without destruction in the event of a manipulation attempt.
