Patterned Bonded Glass Layers in Electronic Devices
An electronic device may include electrical components and other components mounted within an interior of a housing. The device may have a display on a front face of the device and may have a glass layer that forms a housing wall on a rear face of the device. The glass housing wall may be provided with regions having different appearances. The regions may be textured, may have coatings such as thin-film interference filter coatings formed from stacks of dielectric material having alternating indices of refraction, may have metal coating layers, and/or may have ink coating layers. Textured surfaces, cavities, coatings, and other decoration may be embedded in glass structures that are joined with chemical bonds at diffusion-bonding interfaces.
Patterned Glass Layers in Electronic Devices
An electronic device may include electrical components and other components mounted within an interior of a housing. The device may have a display on a front face of the device and may have a glass layer that forms part of the housing on a rear face of the device. The glass layer may be provided with regions having different appearances. The regions may be textured, may have coatings such as thin-film interference filter coatings formed from stacks of dielectric material having alternating indices of refraction, may have metal coating layers, and/or may have ink coating layers. Textured surfaces may be formed on thin glass layers and polymer films that are coupled to the glass layer. A glass layer may be formed from a pair of coupled glass layers. The coupled layers may have one or more recesses or other structures to visually distinguish different regions of the glass layer.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR COMMUNICATING THE CONTENT OF CANNABIS PRODUCTS
The present invention relates to systems and methods for rapidly and accurately communicating the ratio of various cannabinoids contained in a cannabis containing product. Particularly the methods involve the steps of determining the ratio of THC to CBD in the product, assigning a color to be associated with that ratio and labeling the cannabis containing product with a label that prominently features that color.
SELF-DESTRUCTIVE DOCUMENTS FOR INFORMATION SECURITY AND PRIVACY PROTECTION
The inventor here discloses destructive (self-destructing) documents useful for the protection of confidential information. The invention comprises a document which can be easily and instantly broken down into dozens of individual components, hence obliterating any information contained thereon. As the self-destruction of the document requires no extraneous equipment for destruction and guarantees elimination of readable data, the invention represents a vast improvement over the state of the art. Numerous embodiments of the document of the invention specialized for different applications are illustrated and described.

ARRANGEMENT, ARTICLE HAVING A SECURITY FEATURE AND METHOD FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF AN ARRANGEMENT FOR A SECURITY FEATURE
An arrangement includes a component and a temperature-dependent, first fluorescent dye, which in a first state has a predetermined first color location and in a second state has a predetermined second color location different from the first color location, and which is disposed on the component or integrated in the component in such a way that the luminescent dye, in dependence on a temperature change acting on it, creates an optically recognizable color change from the first color location to the second color location.
AUTHENTICATION AND LOGISTICS LABEL AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
A label construction including a substrate has a first and second opposite side. The substrate includes a layer of microporous film and a layer of elastomeric film. The layer of microporous film and the layer of elastomeric film are laminated together. The label construction further includes one or more layers of functional materials disposed on either or both of the first and second sides of the substrate.
Label and method for producing label
A label 1 includes a first colored layer 10, a second colored layer 20 having a different color from the first colored layer 10, and an indicating layer 30 having a different color from the first colored layer 10 and the second colored layer 20. The indicating layer 30 is fitted into the first colored layer 10 so as to have an exposed surface on one surface of the first colored layer 10. The second colored layer 20 is laminated on the other surface F2 of the first colored layer 10. The curing shrinkage ratio of the first colored layer 10 is larger than that of the indicating layer 30.
PLANAR SEALING ELEMENT
The present invention relates to a planar sealing element (1) for application to a substrate (2), comprising a carrier layer (3) and several functional layers (4), the functional layers (4) comprising at least one colour display layer (5) and an adhesion-controlling layer (6), the sealing element (1) furthermore comprising an adhesive layer (8) for attachment to the substrate (2), the functional layers (4) being arranged between the carrier layer (3) and the adhesive layer (8), wherein the carrier layer (3) is at least partially detachable from the functional layers (4) in order to bring the sealing element (1) from a first state (9) to a second state (10), with the second state (10) not being convertible into the first state (9), the sealing element (1) in the second state (10) comprising a peeled-off layer (11), comprising at least the at least partially detached carrier layer (3), and a residue (12), comprising at least the adhesive layer (8) and at least parts of the at least one colour display layer (5), the carrier layer (3) being made of paper, wherein it is envisaged, according to the invention, that the carrier layer (3) is translucent so that the peeled-off layer (11), in at least one area when the peeled-off layer (11) is arranged congruently on the residue (12), has a different colour impression than the same area of the carrier layer (3) in the first state (9) in a viewing direction toward the carrier layer (3).
Label
A label having a base label member, a fold label member that is in overlying relationship to the base label member. The base label member has a first base label face and a second base label face opposed to the first face. When the fold label member is in the folded state, the folded label member has a first outwardly oriented fold label member face and a second outwardly oriented fold label member face opposed to the first outwardly oriented fold label member face. The label also includes a lamination layer in overlying relationship with the base label member and the fold label member. The lamination layer has a first lamination layer face and a second lamination layer face opposed to the first lamination layer face. The label has a glue hinge that is interposed between the base label member and the lamination layer. In certain embodiments, the glue hinge is positioned in overlaying relationship to a region that is defined on the first base label face and in contact with the fold label member and the lamination layer.
