Standardization of Taggant Signatures Using Transfer Images
The present invention allows spectral codes to be accurately and consistently deployed for a wide range of labels and substrates or products. Spectral codes provided by one or more taggants are incorporated into transferable images so that these images can be prepared separately under accurate, controlled conditions and then transferred onto labels or other substrates. The transferable images that include one or more taggants further include a metal foil layer that is both highly opaque and thin so that the foil is highly compatible with image transfer techniques.
Aroma flavor
A user-selectable aromatic label for attachment to a beverage container may include a substrate, a scent layer including plurality of scent microcapsules arranged in one or more regions on the substrate, and a removable cover over the scent microcapsules. The removable cover may be selectively removed to rupture the scent microcapsules underneath.
Olfactory Product Labeling System
An olfactory product labeling system is provided which may utilize a base substrate having a first side and an opposing second side. The system may have one or more layers of fragrance coating disposed upon the second side of the base substrate. The one or more layers of fragrance coating may be disposed across the base substrate in the form of a stack. Each layer of fragrance coating may have a plurality of micro-encapsulation elements therein. Further, the system may utilize an abrasion element that is coupled adjacent the base substrate and the one or more layers of fragrance coating.
Tamper-evident label
A label is provided with a warning layer coating integrated or applied to a front side of the label. The warning layer coating is not activated by application of heat; rather, the warning layer coating activates upon a directional force (vertical or horizontal pulling) applied to the label after the label was initially adhered to a container, bag, box, and/or object. Upon activation, visible color or a printed warning indicia is visible on a front surface of the label, providing evidence that the label was removed after initial application or providing evidence that the label was attempted to be removed after initial application.
ALIGNMENT FILM TRANSFER PRINTING PLATE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
This application provides an alignment film transfer printing plate including a substrate, a first dot arranged on the substrate, and a plurality of second dots arranged around the first dot. A height of each of the second dots in a direction perpendicular to a surface of the substrate is less than or equal to a height of the first dot in the direction perpendicular to the surface of the substrate, a blocking portion is formed on an end of the first dot away from the substrate, and an area of an end surface of each of the second dots away from the substrate is less than an area of an end surface of the blocking portion away from the substrate.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND ARTICLES OF MANUFACTURE FOR TIME-DEPENDENT COLOR-CHANGING ARTICLE
Disclosed embodiments may relate to a time-dependent color-changing label for a product. The label may include a first layer comprising a plurality of particles, the particles comprising a time dependent color-changing material that changes color after a predetermined time period, the predetermined time period being greater than one month. The label may also include an attachment structure attaching the first layer to the product. In certain embodiments, the first layer may include a polymer, and the particles may include glass microspheres containing the time-dependent color changing material. The particles may be embedded in the polymer.

LAYERS FOR PRODUCT PACKAGING
Labels for food, beverage, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, reagent, or vitamin packaging articles are provided. The labels include a print that is initially hidden, but at a later time period the print or an image within the print becomes visible to the consumer. The print or the image can, for example, include the expiration date of the product. A food, beverage, cosmetic pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, reagent, or vitamin packaging articles is also provided that includes a reservoir having a dye. Upon expiration of the product, the dye is released to taint the product so that a consumer has notice to avoid using the product.
