System and method for radio frequency identification tag reuse
A label includes a recycled sloop type radio frequency identification (RFID) tag from a previously used label. The RFID tag is removed from the previous label by cutting the RFID tag from the previous label using a laser, die, or cutting wheel. The conductor antenna of the RFID tag can be cut to remove damaged portions or change operation of the RFID tag. A slot in the conductor antenna can be resized to tune the RFID tag to allow the RFID tag to be used for the same application use or a different application use. The label can include indicia such as machine readable indicia and human readable indicia. The extracted RFID tag can include portions of the previous label, which can be free of indicia.
E-commerce package
A package for shipping a product ordered via the Internet. The package comprising a container body, an inner label, a closure, an outer label removably attached to and covering all or part of the inner label, and a shipping label adhered to the outer label.
Electronically generated promotional structure deployment
A system, method, and computer program product for implementing electronically generated promotion deployment is provided. The method includes receiving electronic data comprising shipment identification for a shipment of an item from a shipping client to a recipient. A profile is generated for the recipient and a further client associated with a freight carrier is authorized to generate visible promotional structures associated with packages for delivery by the freight carrier. Promotional attributes from the further client are cross referenced with respect to a package comprising the item for the recipient. The cross referencing may include matching demographic profiles, of recipients of pending delivery packages, to additional profiles selected by a promotional entity for each pending delivery package. A visible promotional structure associated with the promotional attributes is generated and presented during delivery of the package. The visible promotional structure may include a physical structure or a digital structure.
COMPOSITE MERCHANDISE LABEL CONSTRUCTIONS
Label constructions comprise a first section and a second section that are laminate constructions of a card stock top surface that may include printed indicia, an adhesive layer disposed underneath the card stock, and a removable liner adhered to the adhesive layer and common to the first and second sections. The first section includes an RFID device. The first section may be configured once removed from the liner to fold on itself to form an RFID tag, or to form an RFID adhesive label. The second section once separately removed from the liner forms an adhesive label. The construction first and second sections are positioned adjacent one another and are formed during the same manufacturing process for purposes of manufacturing efficiency. The first and second sections may be treated to facilitate separate removal from the liner to provide labeling flexibility.

RFID SECURITY LABEL FOR PACKAGING
The present invention relates to a closure mechanism, such as a label construction, for a wide variety of packages. The closure mechanism may provide for a security means as well and can be provided with a radio frequency identification (RFID). The closure mechanism may comprise at least one label having at least one RFID device on either a first or second face of the label such that the label is applied to a package wherein the package is subject to a first and second state conditional upon the positioning of the at least one label positioning. The present invention also provides for a method of making and utilizing the label on at least one packaging.
Dual barcode labeling facilitating automated decapping
A specimen collection assembly and method for detecting the same are disclosed. The specimen collection assembly includes a specimen collection container having an open top end, a closed bottom end, and a sidewall extending therebetween defining an interior adapted to receive a biological specimen. The specimen collection container also includes first indicia containing information. The assembly further includes a cap having thereon second indicia, the cap being removably engagable with the open top end of the container. The second indicia contains the same information as the first indicia.
Label sheet assembly with surface features
A label sheet assembly and method is disclosed for improving the process of feeding label sheets through a printer. The label sheet assembly may include a facestock layer and a liner sheet. The facestock layer may include an adhesive layer along at least a portion of a first side and include a label surface along at least a portion of the second side opposite the adhesive layer. The liner sheet layer may include at least one surface feature provided along a back side of the liner sheet. In another embodiment, the facestock layer may include at least one surface feature provided along the front of the facestock layer. The surface features may create a zone of increased friction or increase tactile sensitivity along the various surfaces of the label sheet assembly to improve printer processing.
Reusable envelope
A reusable envelope has one or more spaces thereon where address, return labels and/or postage can be removably placed or permanently affixed such as for finite number of shipments using a permanently affixed postage area, for example. The reusable envelope also includes a resealable closure allowing the interior of the envelope to be closed and reopened multiple times for multiple uses (shipments, receiving) or optionally to use a finite number of times by exposing the permanent adhesive to the flat and mating surface depending on user preference.
METHOD OF DETECTING A CONCEALED PATTERN
A method for detecting a component including a concealed pattern includes: detecting infrared electromagnetic radiation reflected or emitted by a component including a first pattern, the component including: a substrate; the first pattern disposed over at least a portion of the substrate; an optional primer layer disposed between at least a portion of the substrate and at least a portion of the first pattern; and a first visibly opaque layer including an infrared transparent pigment, the first visibly opaque layer disposed over at least a portion of the first pattern; and comparing the reflectivity and/or absorbance of infrared electromagnetic radiation by the first pattern at one wavelength to the reflectivity and/or absorbance by the primer layer and/or the substrate at the same wavelength.
