Intelligent label device and method
Briefly, an intelligent label is associated with a good, and includes one or more permanent and irreversible electrochromic indicators that are used to report the condition of that good at selected points in the movement or usage of that good. These electrochromic indicators provide immediate visual information regarding the status of the good without need to interrogate or communicate with the electronics or processor on the intelligent label. In this way, anyone in the shipping or use chain for the good, including the end user consumer, can quickly understand whether the product is meeting shipping and quality standards. If a product fails to meet shipping or quality standards, the particular point where the product failed can be quickly and easily identified, and information can be used to assure the consumer remains safe, while providing essential information for improving the shipping process. It will be understood that the label may take many forms, such as a tag attached to the good, integrated into the packaging for the good, integrated into the good itself, or may even be an information area on a prepaid card for example. The label may also include, for example, print information regarding the good, usage or shipping rules, or address and coded information.
Horizontal platform and advertisement display apparatus and method of using same
A unique beverage holder is adapted to be mounted on a vertical wall surface, and includes a cantilevered beverage holder platform and an advertising display, preferably including a slot or other arrangement for receiving an advertising media and an outwardly facing window for viewing the advertisement. The device is preferably installed in bathrooms, and the like, such as above urinals to provide bathroom users with a place to set their beverage, and at the same time attracting attention to the advertisement while the user is captive. In one embodiment, the beverage holder is adapted to be reversibly mounted on a wall bracket such that the shelf unit may alternately be at the top or bottom of the device. The reversible beverage holder is preferably secured to the wall bracket by release tabs.
LABEL PROTECTION RAIL WITH UNIVERSAL SLOT PATTERN
A protection rail is described that includes apertures that may be located at positions along the protection rail so as to correspond to one or more apertures of the shelving unit. The dimensions of the apertures and associated spatial relationships, as well as the spatial relationship to one or more other groups of apertures, may be configured such that the protection rail may provide a layout of apertures adapted to allow the protection rail to be mounted to various types of shelving units having different aperture layouts, different sized apertures, and/or different shaped apertures. This advantageously provides the protection rail with a universal aperture pattern that allows the protection rail to be universally used for various types of commercially available shelving units.

Apparatus for informational label display
An informational label apparatus for a product component includes a base affixable to a product component. A first portion of labelling information located at the product component is viewable through the base. A door operably connected to the base includes a second portion of labelling information. The first portion of labelling information is hidden from view when the door is in a closed position, and is viewable when the door is at an opened position. A component of a computer machine includes an electronic component including component identification information affixed thereto. A cover is secured over the component identification information and includes a base secured to the electronic component. A door operably connected to the base includes computer machine identification information. The component identification information is hidden from view when the door is at a closed position, and is viewable when the door is at an opened position.

Tag holder
A pet tag holder supports from a pet collar a pet tag having a hole. The pet tag holder comprises a flexible, resilient body including a major front wall, an opposed major rear wall, side edge walls interconnecting the front and rear walls, a top edge wall, and a bottom edge wall. The top and bottom edge walls are continuous with the side edge walls and interconnect the front and rear walls. The body defines a hollow sleeve having an interior cavity adapted for receiving and enclosing at least one pet tag and a slot for inserting the tag into the sleeve.
Marketing strip with viscoelastic lightguide
Marketing strips having a light source and a flexible viscoelastic lightguide for displaying products or product related information, or illuminating a graphic on the marketing strip and products adjacent it. Light from the light source enters the viscoelastic lightguide and is transported within the lightguide by total internal reflection until the light exits from surfaces of the lightguide and through the graphic. The viscoelastic lightguide can include a pressure-sensitive adhesive, which adheres the lightguide to the marketing strip and enhances structural support for it. The light from the lightguide can illuminate products and labels on the marketing strip. The lightguide can also include a bevelled edge with light exiting the edge downward and backward from the marketing strip to illuminate products it.
Creased adhesive in-store marketing signage
An in-store adhesive marketing signage method that allows semi-rigid and rigid store signage cards to conform to store shelves includes placing a crease/score on the cards above a bump on a label holder. The crease/score then relieves force on the cards and thereby eliminates the initiation of peeling away from the label holder.
