MAGNETIC FLUID DISPLAY
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a magnetic fluid display in which a magnetic fluid moves in response to a magnetic field and which may display a unique visual image according to the meeting and parting of the magnetic fluid. A magnetic fluid display according to the present invention comprises: a display unit including a transparent liquid into which a magnetic fluid is injected; and a magnetic field generating unit for applying a magnetic field to the magnetic fluid at a rear surface of the display unit. When the magnetic field is applied, the magnetic fluid moves in the transparent liquid in a directional manner, so that an image may be displayed on the display unit.

Highly reflective electrostatic shutter display
A reflective display tile can be used in connection with a static or video display. The tile includes a transparent substrate having a front surface, a rear surface, and a peripheral edge surrounding the front and rear surfaces, an electrostatic shutter array disposed at the front surface of said substrate, a reflective medium disposed at the rear surface of the substrate, and drive electronics disposed rearward of the reflective medium. The shutter array and drive electronics are configured so that the tile is tileable and can be abutted at any of its peripheral edges against identical tiles to form a display with substantially no perceived optical interface between adjacent tiles. Another embodiment includes an opaque substrate such as a circuit board. A further embodiment has a polymeric film coated on one side with a metal film and on another side with ink or blackening material.
Electronic license plate frame for displaying static and non-static information
Systems, apparatus and methods related to electronic vehicle registration and tag displays, specifically a vehicle license plate frame containing multiple low power e-paper type displays configured to replace the stickers used for vehicle registration and parking authorizations as well as provide indication of purchased parking increments and/or allow for display of advertisement or other messages. The system may also allow the display of driver or vehicle specific information such as the user's driver's license number or insurance at the request of a third party authorities such as the police. The system allows for use of a mobile computing device having software connected with the internet to access a server allowing for communication with various registrations authorities including the DMV, municipal parking authorities, and private parking authorities. Displays may be overwritten and changed depending on the location of the vehicle and need to provide display of certain authorizations.
Rotatable substrates having micro-light emitting diodes (LEDs)
In some examples, a pixel comprises a plurality of subpixels, wherein each subpixel includes a micro-motor, a rotatable substrate in which the micro-motor is embedded, and a plurality of micro-light emitting diodes (LEDs) embedded in the rotatable substrate.

PROGRAMMABLE FILM DISPLAY SYSTEM
In an example implementation according to aspects of the present disclosure, a system comprising a light source, a transparent programmable film, a lensing system, a memory and an embedded controller. The embedded controller may be coupled to the memory and configured to retrieve a first image from the memory. The embedded controller may be configured to render the first image on the transparent programmable film. Additionally, the embedded controller may be configured to activate a light source, wherein the light source projects light through the transparent programmable film through the lensing system, and creates a visual representation corresponding to the first image on a nearby surface.
Layered electro-magnetic refreshable braille display device and braille reader
The present invention discloses a layered electro-magnetic refreshable braille display device and braille reader. The layered electro-magnetic refreshable braille display device includes three layers of braille display modules and a touch panel. Each braille display module includes 5 plates and a plurality of tactile pin driving mechanisms for driving the “up” and “down” of the braille dots. One or more lines of braille cells are arranged on the touch panel. Each line of braille cells displays a plurality of braille characters. A microprocessor is connected to a braille translation module, a voice playing module and an interaction controller respectively, wherein the interaction controller is connected to the braille display device, to form the braille reader. This device can display one or more lines of braille characters by relying on the electro-magnetic principle. It boasts real-time refreshing of the braille, synchronization of braille display and voice playing.
Spherical illuminant and display device
A display device includes a plurality of moveable display units, and at least one external control device for emitting control signals in dependence on which at least some of the plurality of display units form a display, the display units each being connected at different locations via coupling means and capable of being detachably connected to one another, where at least some of the display units include at least one detection device for detecting a relative position of at least one further display unit, and the at least one detection device is a sensor which detects at least one adjacent display unit.
MAGNETIC ELEMENT AND FLAT PANEL DISPLAY DEVICE COMPRISING SAME
An inductor according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a core part; a coil part having one or more coils which are wound around the midfoot of the core part and which have two ends; and a base which is arranged beneath the coil part and which supports at least a part of the outer circumferential surface of each of the one or more coils, wherein the base can comprise: a frame having a hollow hole, which is formed at the center thereof so as to include a longer shaft and a shorter shaft; and a support part having a plurality of support members protruding toward the outer circumferential surface, so as to encompass at least a part of the outer circumferential surface.
