AEROSOL PROVISION DEVICE
An apparatus and a method for an aerosol generating device is described, the apparatus including a control module and a charging controller. The charging controller is configured to control charging of a battery at a first charging rate in a first charging mode and to control charging of the battery at a second charging rate, lower than the first charging rate, in a second charging mode. The control module is configured to determine information relating to usage of the aerosol generating device. The charge controller is configured to operate in the first charging mode or the second charging mode depending, at least in part, on the information relating to the use of the aerosol generating device.
Aerosol Generating Device with Non-Linear Airflow Channels
The present invention is generally directed towards an aerosol generating device. More specifically, the invention is directed towards an aerosol generating device comprising an air flow channeling assembly with non-linear air flow channels. In a first aspect, the invention provides an aerosol generating device comprising a chamber configured to receive and supply heated air to an aerosol generating substrate, an air flow channeling assembly configured to deliver outside air into the chamber comprising a plurality of nonlinear air flow channels, wherein each air flow channel extends along a side wall of the chamber from an inlet opened toward the outside of the device to an outlet for discharging the delivered air to the chamber, and a heating unit configured to apply heat to the air flow channels.
A FORMULATION FOR USE IN AN AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEM
A formulation for an aerosol-generating system is provided, the formulation including: one or more aerosol formers; and one or more polymers selected from the group consisting of: polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene glycol, polyglycolic acid, polylactic acid, polydioxanone, polycaprolactone, polyethylene, polypropylene glycol, and starch, in which the formulation has a melting point of between 100 degrees Celsius and 300 degrees Celsius. An aerosol-generating article for the aerosol-generating system, and an aerosol-generating system, are also provided.

A substrate is provided comprising an aerosol-generating material, the aerosol-generating material comprising a thermoreversible amorphous solid, the thermoreversible amorphous solid comprising: 0.5-20 wt % of iota- and/or kappa-carrageenan; 20-80 wt % of an aerosol-former material; 20-70 wt % of a flavorant and/or an active substance; wherein these weights are calculated on a dry weight basis. Consumables and non-combustible aerosol provision systems comprising the substrate, as well as methods of making and using these, are also provided.

METHOD OF MAKING AN AMORPHOUS SOLID FOR USE WITHIN A NON-COMBUSTIBLE AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEM
A method of making an amorphous solid is provided. The method comprises: (a) forming a slurry comprising: 0.5-60 wt % of a gelling agent; 5-80 wt % of an aerosol forming material; and 0-60 wt % of an active constituent and/or flavorant; wherein these weights are calculated on a dry weight basis; (b) depositing one or more predetermined quantities of the slurry onto a carrier using a positive displacement pump; (c) setting the predetermined quantities of slurry to form a gel; and (d) drying the gel to form an amorphous solid. Amorphous solids provided by the method, articles comprising the amorphous solids, and non-combustible aerosol provision systems comprising the articles are also provided.

A method of making an amorphous solid is provided. A component for a non-combustible aerosol provision system. The component comprises a body defining an enclosed volume, the body comprising an inlet aperture and an outlet aperture, and an air flow path defined between the inlet aperture and the outlet aperture through the enclosed volume. The body includes a support element comprising an arrangement of alternating ridges and grooves. Also disclosed is a system comprising such a component.

AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEMS
An aerosol provision system for generating aerosol for user inhalation is disclosed. The aerosol provision system comprises a replaceable part comprising a substrate providing aerosol generating material for generating the aerosol for user inhalation and a reusable part comprising: a housing including an interface configured to operatively engage with the replaceable part, and an air channel configured at least partially in the housing to provide a passage of air drawn by user inhalation to receive the aerosol generated from the aerosol generating material, a detector configured to detect the passage of air drawn through the air channel; at least one aerosol generating element disposed with respect to the interface and configured, in use, to generate aerosol from the aerosol generating material, and a control circuit configured to receive a signal from the detector indicating an amount of air drawn by the user and to control the at least one aerosol generating element to generate the aerosol selectively from different regions of the aerosol generating material in response to the amount of air drawn through the air channel.
