Light bulb projector
The light bulb projector is a projection device. The light bulb projector is a light bulb that is modified to project an image on a surface. The light bulb projector is reconfigurable such that the image projected by the light bulb projector can be changed between uses of the light bulb projector. The light bulb projector comprises a transparent housing, a plurality of gobos, and an illuminating circuit. The illuminating circuit generates the illumination to project the image. The transparent housing is a transparent structure that encloses the illuminating circuit. The plurality of gobos attaches to the transparent housing. Each of the plurality of gobos contains an image. Each of the plurality of gobos is an optical device that focuses and modifies the illumination generated by the illuminating circuit such that the light bulb projector projects the image associated with each gobo attached to the transparent housing.
Multi-primary backlight for multi-functional active-matrix liquid crystal displays
A direct view display provides a light modulating panel and a backlight including first and second sets of spectral emitters. Several modes of operation may be provided including an advanced 2D mode, and an enhanced color gamut mode employing simultaneous illumination of the first and second set of spectral emitters. Another embodiment may be an optical structure for a multi-functional LCD display with wide color gamut and high stereo contrast. The optical structure may also be used to produce more saturated colors for a wider display color gamut and also may be used to produce a brighter backlight structure through light recycling of the wider bandwidth light back into the optical structure.
Backlight unit and liquid crystal display device comprising the same
According to one embodiment, a backlight device includes a support frame including a first frame body including a pair of first frame members and a second frame member connected to respective ends of the first frame members and a second frame body being separate from the first frame body, which connects other respective ends of the first frame members to each other, a reflective sheet on the support frame, a light guide on the reflective sheet within the support frame, an optical sheet on the light guide, and a light source unit in the support frame. The light source unit includes a wiring board on the second frame body and a light source on the wiring board, opposing an incidence surface of the light guide.
Display device
A display device includes a display screen, a reflective sheet disposed opposite the display screen and that reflects irradiated light toward the display screen, a plurality of light emitters disposed at one side of the reflective sheet and that irradiates light to different reflective regions of the reflective sheet, and a controller that adjusts an amount of light generated in each of the plurality of light emitters.
Light reflecting assembly
A light reflecting assembly includes a cabinet and a light reflecting member. The light reflecting member includes a center reflecting part, four peripheral reflecting parts and a tongue part. Side end portions of an adjacent pair of the peripheral reflecting parts form a corner section of the light reflecting member at a corner portion of the center reflecting part while the light reflecting member is attached to the cabinet. The tongue part extends from one of the side end portions of the adjacent pair of the peripheral reflecting parts towards the other of the side end portions of the adjacent pair of the peripheral reflecting parts. The tongue part at least partially overlaps with the other of the side end portions of the adjacent pair of the peripheral reflecting parts while the light reflecting member is attached to the cabinet.
DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING PROTRUDING PLATE
A display device including a protruding-plate includes the protruding-plate, a thin-film-layer, a transparent-base-material, a first-concealing-layer, a light-diffusion-layer, a light-color-toning-layer, and a second-concealing-layer. The first-concealing-layer is disposed closer to the protruding-plate than the second-concealing-layer and the light-color-toning-layer to the protruding-plate. The protruding-plate, the transparent-base-material, the thin-film-layer, and the second-concealing-layer include a greater thickness in this order. The second-concealing-layer, the first-concealing-layer, and the light-diffusion-layer have a same thickness. The light-diffusion-layer is thicker than the light-color-toning-layer. The transparent-base-material and the thin-film-layer have a same light transmittance. The thin-film-layer, the protruding-plate, the light-diffusion-layer, the light-color-toning-layer, the first-concealing-layer, and the second-concealing-layer have a higher light transmittance in this order.

LIGHT FIXTURE SIGN
A concealed light fixture sign includes a flange having stencil openings formed therein that define a message. A container extends from a rear surface of the flange and provides light through the stencil openings. The container is configured to be installed completely within a recess behind a mounting surface with the flange positioned substantially flush with the mounting surface. Translucent inserts positioned within the stencil openings are removable to provide access to an interior of the container after installation of the light fixture sign.

DISPLAY PANEL
A display panel is attached to an appliance that includes first and second light sources, in which one of the first and second light sources is capable of being turned off when the other is turned on. The display panel basically includes a molded body, a front-side decorative layer, and a sheet-like member. The display panel is capable of individually illuminating a plurality of graphics, which is simultaneously molded and decorated, with light passing through a molded resin. In particular, a first graphic is illuminated in a first window by turning on the first light source, while a first back-side light-shielding region and a second front-side light-shielding region prevent a second graphic from being illuminated. The second graphic is illuminated in a second window by turning on the second light source, while a second back-side light-shielding region and a first front-side light-shielding region prevent the first graphic from being illuminated.
