CONCEALABLE INPUT REGION FOR AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
Embodiments are directed to an electronic device having a hidden or concealable input region. In one aspect, an embodiment includes an enclosure having a wall that defines an input region having an array of microperforations. A light source may be positioned within a volume defined by the enclosure and configured to propagate light through the array of microperforations. A sensing element may be coupled with the wall and configured to detect input received within the input region. The array of microperforations are configured to be visually imperceptible when not illuminated by the light source. When illuminated by the light source, the array of microperforations may display a symbol.
Information display device
An information display device attachable to a structure includes a plate-shaped body, a display panel, and a surface member. The plate-shaped body is a part of the structure and has a first attaching surface, a second attaching surface opposite to the first attaching surface, and a side portion that connects the first attaching surface and the second attaching surface to each other. The display panel is attached to the plate-shaped body and is configured to display information on a display surface. The display surface is disposed from the first attaching surface to the second attaching surface. The surface member is disposed on a display surface side of the display panel to cover the display panel such that only the information displayed on the display surface of the display panel is visible through the surface member when the display panel is turned on.
INVISIBLE, LIGHT-TRANSMISSIVE DISPLAY SYSTEM
An invisible, light-transmissive display system with a light resistant material is provided. Substantially invisible, tapered, light-transmissive holes are penetrated in a light transmissive pattern through at least a portion of the light resistant material using a laser beam having a focal width less than the smallest diameter of the tapered holes.

Light emitting panel with improved handling
Disclosed is a light emitting panel with improved handling. The light emitting panel includes a fabric made by weaving natural or synthetic fibers, light emitting string parts consisting of a plurality of light emitting devices electrically connected in parallel or series through conductive threads fixed to the fabric, at least one light emitting grid part including an electrode unit connecting the plurality of light emitting string parts in parallel, and a power supply part applying power to the light emitting grid part. The light emitting panel provides an easily controllable illumination area and a uniform luminance. In addition, the light emitting panel is foldable or rollable, achieving improved storability, portability and mobility. Furthermore, the light emitting panel has improved handling even in moist environments such as snowy or rainy days when used outdoors.
Illuminated signs for vehicles, mounting systems therefor and related methods
A self-contained illuminated sign for mounting on a vehicle is disclosed. The sign includes a front panel, a rear panel situated opposite and substantially parallel to the front panel in spaced relation therefrom to define a space therebetween, and a light source comprising a plurality of LEDs. The light source is positioned between the front and rear panels and is configured to emit light that emanates from the front panel. The front panel is thus backlit to display indicia. A system for supporting a self-contained illuminated sign on a vehicle is also disclosed. The system includes the sign and a separate mounting frame mountable on a vehicle. The mounting frame is configured to removably receive the sign and, when the sign is received in the mounting frame, to surround a perimeter of the sign while permitting visibility of the front display area. Related methods are also disclosed.
