Street Furniture System and Integrated Billboard
20180247575 · 2018-08-30 ·

A street furniture system and interconnected digital billboard consists of a plurality of connectivity stations, a centralized display unit, and a power source. The plurality of connectivity stations and the centralized display unit are powered through the power source. A central processing unit (CPU) of each of the plurality of connectivity stations and a CPU of the centralized display unit communicably couples the plurality of connectivity stations and the centralized display unit. Therefore, by controlling a plurality of computing devices from each of the plurality of connectivity stations, the content displayed on a front display screen of the centralized display unit can be controlled. A global positioning system (GPS) module, a plurality of cameras, and a plurality of motion-detecting sensors of the centralized display unit are used to determine and display the most appropriate content on the front display screen.

Three Dimensional Billboard Display Using Foam Inserts and Flexible Cover
20180240379 · 2018-08-23 ·

A three-dimensional billboard display system features a flexible sheet of banner material having displayed content on a display side thereof, and a two-dimensional footprint area on the display side that is discretely identifiable from the displayed content. A flexible cover fastened to the flexible sheet in a position overlying the two-dimensional footprint area on the display side and enclosing a three-dimensional space between said cover and said flexible sheet. One or more inserts form a three-dimensional body of predetermined shape inside the three-dimensional space, the flexible cover spanning in taught condition over the three-dimensional body, thereby imparting the predetermined shape to the three-dimensional space and imparting the flexible cover with a three-dimensional form bulging outwardly from the display side of the flexible sheet. A reinforcement layer features a mesh or netting of criss-crossing webbing straps on a backside of the flexible sheet to carry the weight of the 3D embellishment.

Lighting Assembly with Multiple Lighting Units
20180218653 · 2018-08-02 ·

A method can be used to illuminate a surface that includes a number of non-overlapping portions. The method includes simultaneously illuminating each of the portions so that the surface is substantially uniformly lit. Each portion is illuminated by a respective lighting assembly. Each lighting assembly includes a plurality of LEDs and a plurality of optical elements proximate the plurality of LEDs. For each lighting assembly, when all LEDs of the lighting assembly are operating, the entire portion of the surface is illuminated with an illumination level and a uniformity. Failure of one or more LEDs of the lighting assembly will cause the illumination level of light impinging the portion of the surface to decrease while the uniformity of light impinging the portion of the surface remains substantially the same.

Message Cabinet
20180160555 · 2018-06-07 ·

A message cabinet that is designed to reduce installation cost, improve energy savings, lower maintenance cost, be easier to service, and have a stronger construction for high winds. The message cabinet includes a main body, a pole-receiving hole, a first recess, a second recess, a first plurality of displays, and a second plurality of displays. The main body houses the electronic components of the present invention. The first plurality of displays and the second plurality of display allows the present invention to display electronic messages to drivers. The pole-receiving hole allows the present invention to be receive a mounting pole. The first recess and the second recess allow the present invention to dissipate heat accumulated by the electronic components within the main body.

Gateway display fixture with transom display unit

A gateway display fixture includes first and second side display unit and a transom display unit. The first side display unit includes a first primary frame including two threaded cavities along a top surface thereof. The second side display unit is spaced from the first side display unit. The transom display is unit selectively coupled with and extends across each of the first display unit and the second side display unit to form a pathway under the transom display unit. The transom display unit includes a bottom segment having a first pair of coupling apertures near a first end of the bottom segment. The display fixture is adjustable between a first configuration, where the first side display unit extends substantially in line with the transom display unit, and in the second configuration, where the first side display unit is rotated out of line with the transom display unit.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ATTACHING SIGNS TO FOUNDATION MEMBERS SUCH AS ROAD BARRIERS

A support system for a sign mountable on at least two spaced apart foundation members, the system comprising: i) a base, preferably a length adjustable base, having a first end and a second end; ii) a vertical sign support having a first end and a second end wherein the second end is connected to the base; iii) a first foundation member bracket for connection to a first foundation member, the first foundation member bracket proximate the first end of the base; and iv) a second foundation member bracket for connection to a second foundation member distant the first foundation member, the second foundation member bracket proximate the second end of the base.

Lighting assembly with multiple lighting units

A lighting assembly includes an assembly body. A first lighting unit is attached to the assembly body. The first lighting unit includes a number of light emitting diodes (LEDs) and optical elements arranged over the LEDs such that each optical element overlies only one associated LED. The first lighting unit is configured to illuminate a substantially rectangular region. A second lighting unit is attached to the assembly body and spaced from the first lighting unit. The second lighting unit includes a number of LEDs and optical elements arranged over the plurality of LEDs such that each optical element overlies only one associated LED. The lighting assembly is configured to direct the light toward the substantially rectangular area such that the light illuminates the substantially rectangular area with a uniformity across the substantially rectangular area that achieves at most a 3:1 ratio of the average illumination to the minimum illumination.
