A scissor pop-up prop module with a stationary base, a scissor linkage, an automation system, and a prop mount for attaching an amusement prop. The scissor linkage articulates in an expansion direction so that the prop mount moves in a linear pop- up direction from a home positions to a displaced position. The automation system suddenly springs the scissor linkage in the expansion direction and then produces gradual controlled movement of the scissor linkage in a contraction direction back to the home position. The prop mount carries a prop mount linkage that is driven to articulate by engagement with the base during a latter phase of pop-up movement of the prop mount from a partially displaced position to the displaced position, to simulate a winged creature spreading its wings as it rises.

Projecting interactive information from internally within a mannequin

A device receives information to be projected from within and onto a mannequin, and receives instructions associated with projection of the information from within and onto the mannequin. A mirror and a projector are provided within the mannequin, and the projector is in optical communication with the mirror. The device causes, based on the instructions, the mirror to be moved from a first location to a second location, the mirror to be rotated from a first position to a second position, the projector to be moved from a third location to a fourth location, or the projector to be rotated from a third position to a fourth position. The device provides the information to the projector, and causes the projector to provide the information at a portion of the mannequin via the mirror, wherein the information is projected from within and onto the mannequin at the portion.

Straps or rings connect the upper end of the telescoping pole to the inner wall of the inflatable figure proximate the upper end of the inflatable figure. When the blower is turned off and the figure deflates, the vertical pole telescopes downward under the weight of the collapsing figure. The straps connecting the telescoping pole to the inner surface of the figure ensure that the figure collapses substantially straight down into the base as it deflates.
