TECHNIQUES FOR DISPLAYING IMAGES IN A VISUAL EFFECTS SYSTEM
A visual effects system includes a first display, a second display, and a graphics generation system. The graphics generation system is configured to provide graphics data to the first display and the second display to define a combined image. The graphics generation system includes a processing system and a memory, the memory encoded with instructions configured to be executed by the processing system to cause the first display and the second display to display a first image on the first display based on the graphics data and a user location, a user gaze orientation, or both, and display a second image on the second display based on the graphics data and the user location, the user gaze orientation, or both.
Appliance model display system
A product advertisement system includes (A) a plurality of miniature three-dimensional product models, wherein each product model (i) has a bottom surface, a top surface, and a side surface extending between the top and bottom surfaces; (ii) is a scaled replica of a full-size residential or commercial appliance; and (iii) has a hollow interior configuration with an opening in the bottom surface; and (B) a base configured to retain each product model in a single position thereon. Each product model is manually removable from and replaceable onto the base. The opening in the bottom surface of each product model has a unique shape, and the base includes projections that correspond to each of the openings, with each projection being sized and shaped to matingly engage with a single one of the openings of the product models to retain each product model in its single position on the base.
CHANNEL LETTERS HAVING 3-D VISUAL EFFECT
An illuminated channel letter has a frame member in the shape of a letter, number, or design shape. The frame member has a back wall member on which a source of illumination is located. Side wall members extend from the frame member and a front member overlays the side wall members. The front member has an interior layer made of translucent material positioned beneath an exterior layer made of opaque material. The exterior layer has a plurality of cut-out openings in design shapes which extend through the exterior layer, from the top surface to the bottom surface of the layer. When the source of illumination is turned on, it provides backlighting, which emits light through the interior layer and the cut-out openings of the exterior layer, thus producing a visual 3-D lighting effect emanating from the channel letter.
A LIGHTING DEVICE
A lighting device (1) configured for providing a viewer with immersive light experiences and comprising an optical light mixing unit (2) comprising a diffuse light exit window (3), a first plurality of LED light sources (4) adapted for, in operation, emitting first LED light source light (17), the first plurality of LED light sources being non-imaging LED light sources, and being arranged such as to, in operation, homogeneously illuminate the light exit window, and at least one second plurality of LED light sources (5) adapted for, in operation, emitting second LED light source light (18), the second plurality of LED light sources being imaging LED light sources, and comprising one or more image forming elements (6), and the second plurality of LED light sources (5) being arranged between the first plurality of LED light sources (4) such as to, in operation, non-homogeneously illuminate the light exit window (3).
DISPLAY DEVICE AND AERIAL IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device includes a display, and displays, using light including infrared light, a high-temperature image portion representing a high-temperature object having a temperature higher than a predetermined temperature in response to an image displayed by the display including the high-temperature image portion. An aerial image display device includes a display including a display surface, and a reflective optical system that reflects image light of an image displayed on the display surface and forms an aerial image as a real image. The aerial image display device displays, using light including infrared light, a high-temperature image portion representing a high-temperature object having a temperature higher than a predetermined temperature on the display surface in response to the image including the high-temperature image portion. The aerial image display device displays the high-temperature image portion as a video.
Free-form light field displays for VR/AR headsets
A head mounted display for virtual reality imaging includes a pixel array including multiple pixels configured in a two-dimensional surface, each pixel providing multiple light beams forming an image provided to a user. The head mounted display also includes a first optical element to provide a central portion of a field of view for the image through an eyebox that limits a volume including a pupil of the user, and a second optical element to provide a peripheral portion of the field of view for the image through the eyebox. The second optical element includes a lenslet array to provide a segmented view of the peripheral portion of the field of view that includes at least one of a free form lenslet, a liquid crystal lenslet, a Fresnel lenslet, or a pancake lenslet. A system and a method for using the above head mounted display are also provided.
ELECTRONIC APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
An electronic apparatus includes a display unit that displays first content different from advertisement content, an obtaining unit that obtains eyeball information of a user who is gazing at the first content, and a control unit that sets, based on the eyeball information, second content to be displayed during reproduction of the first content.
