Viewing a three-dimensional information space through a display screen

A method is provided, including the following operations: capturing images of an interactive environment by an image capture device; analyzing the captured images to track motion of a user's head in the interactive environment; providing a view through a display screen of a three-dimensional (3-D) information space, wherein the view of the 3-D information space is defined from a perspective that is determined by the tracked motion of the user's head in the interactive environment, the perspective being dynamically updated in response to the motion of the user's head; wherein the 3-D information space includes a plurality of predefined content regions that are configured to present respectively assigned visual content, the content regions being visually accessible through the display screen based on the provided view of the 3-D information space.

An illustrative example embodiment of an elevator system includes a display configured to show a plurality of images that are each visible from a respective viewing direction. A processor determines passenger information for each of a plurality of passengers based on at least the passenger's intended destination. The display provides first passenger information for a first passenger to be visible from a first viewing direction that is based on a location of the first passenger relative to the display and second passenger information for a second passenger to be visible from a second viewing direction that is based on a location of the second passenger relative to the display. The second passenger information is different than the first passenger information and the second viewing direction is different than the first viewing direction.

Display body

A display body includes a display surface including a plurality of display region groups. Each display region includes at least one reflection surface that is configured to reflect light incident on the display surface toward an area including a corresponding one of reflection directions that are associated with the respective display region groups. Each display region group is configured to form an image unique to the display region group in a corresponding one of the reflection directions through reflection of light on the reflection surfaces in the display region group. The display region groups are configured to form, in two adjacent ones of the reflection directions, different images that have a interrelation between each other.

Precision multi-view display

A precision multi-view (MV) display system can accurately and simultaneously display different content to different viewers over a wide field of view. The MV display system may include features that enable individual MV display devices to be easily and efficiently tiled to form a larger MV display. A graphical interface enables a user to graphically specify viewing zones and associate content that will be visible in those zones in a simple manner. A calibration procedure enables the specification of content at precise viewing locations.

Optical device that produces flicker-like optical effects

An optical device that produces flicker-like optical effects is provided. The optical device employs directionally cured image icons. Specifically, the optical device is made up of at least one arrangement of image icons formed from one or more cured pigmented materials, and at least one arrangement of optionally embedded focusing elements positioned to form one or more synthetic images of at least a portion of the arrangement(s) of image icons. Some or all of the pigmented material(s) is cured using collimated light directed through the focusing elements toward the arrangement(s) of image icons at one or more angles relative to a surface of the optical device to form directionally cured image icons. The synthetic image(s) of the directionally cured image icons is viewable at the cure angle(s) and therefore visually appears and disappears, or turns on and off, as the viewing angle of the device moves through the cure angle(s).
