A display apparatus and a method for controlling the display apparatus are provided. The display apparatus includes a display panel unit, a reflector disposed on the display panel unit, a radiator, an illumination sensing unit, and a controller. A color of the reflector is changeable according to a temperature thereof, and the reflector is positioned to reflect light incident on the reflector from outside the display apparatus. The heat radiator generates heat to control the temperature of the reflector, and the illumination sensing unit senses an illumination value of light incident on the display apparatus from outside. The controller controls the heat radiator to change the temperature of the reflector according to the illumination value sensed by the illumination sensing unit.

The present invention provides a mirror display that enables simultaneous perception of a mirror image and an image with suppressed uncomfortable feeling. The mirror display of the present invention includes a half mirror plate including a half mirror layer, and a display device. The display device is disposed on the back surface side of the half mirror plate. The distance between a display surface of the display device and a display surface of the half mirror plate is not smaller than 100 mm. The half mirror layer preferably includes a reflective polarizer.

An example display apparatus includes a mirror display having adjustable reflectivity; a memory in which is stored, for each of one or more applications, information pertaining to the reflectivity corresponding to the application; and a processor that, when a user command for displaying the application is input, displays the application on the mirror display and adjusts, based on the reflectivity corresponding to the application among the one or more applications, the reflectivity of the region of the mirror display in which the application is displayed.

The invention relates to a light-reflecting object having a multiplicity of individually aligned mirrors, which are suitable for reflecting incident light such that the reflected light forms a predefined pattern on a projection surface. Provision is made for the multiplicity of mirrors to be formed or arranged on a curved target surface of the object, wherein each of the mirrors on the curved target surface of the object is aligned such that it images light, which is incident from a specified direction, onto exactly one pixel of the projection surface, and wherein the pattern that is formed on the projection surface is formed by the multiplicity of the pixels which are thus produced. The invention furthermore relates to a method for providing such a light-reflecting object.

A display apparatus and a display device are provided. The display apparatus includes: a first image acquisition device, configured to acquire a target image of a target region in the case that a human body is in the target region; an image processing device, configured to identify a body physical feature of the human body according to a human body image in the target image; an image generating device, configured to generate, according to the body physical feature, a virtual human body image corresponding to the human body and conforming to a target age; and a display device, configured to display the virtual human body image. A region displaying the virtual human body image is a virtual human body display region.

A display apparatus and a display device are provided. The display apparatus includes: a first image acquisition device, configured to acquire a target image of a target region in the case that a human body is in the target region; an image processing device, configured to identify a body physical feature of the human body according to a human body image in the target image; an image generating device, configured to generate, according to the body physical feature, a virtual human body image corresponding to the human body and conforming to a target age; and a display device, configured to display the virtual human body image. According to the invention, there is provided a mirror with an image display function including, in this order: an image display device; a wavelength plate; a circular polarization reflection layer; and a front surface plate made of glass or plastic, in which the circular polarization reflection layer includes a cholesteric liquid crystal layer, and the cholesteric liquid crystal layer has a central wavelength of selective reflection in a visible light region. The mirror with an image display function of the invention is capable of displaying a bright image.

According to the invention, there is provided a mirror with an image display function including, in this order: an image display device; a wavelength plate; a circular polarization reflection layer; and a front surface plate made of glass or plastic, in which the circular polarization reflection layer includes a cholesteric liquid crystal layer, and the cholesteric liquid crystal layer has a central wavelength of selective reflection in a visible light region. The mirror with an image display function of the invention is capable of displaying a bright image.

A shimmer disc or image apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a support member, at least one shimmer disc or member, and engagement means provided on or associated with the support member and/or shimmer disc or member for engaging the at least one shimmer disc or member to the support member in use to form an engaged position. The support member, engagement means and/or the at least one shimmer disc or member are arranged such that when engaged, at least part of the at least one shimmer disc or member is movable relative to the engagement means and/or support member in use. The at least one shimmer disc or member is arranged such that at least part of the same is able to flex in use and/or is resiliently biased to the engaged position in use.
