An integrated wearable energy generation and annunciation system is presented. The system includes a wearable item. The system also includes a plurality of solar panels integral with the wearable item and positionable on the wearable item. The system includes a plurality of light emitting diode (LED) panels integral with the wearable item and positionable on the wearable item. The system includes a plurality of batteries configured to receive power from the solar panels and to power LED panels and system components. The system also includes control circuitry arranged to interface the solar panels, the LED panels, system components, and the batteries. The system also includes a control platform structured to provide control functions for the system to generate power from the plurality of solar panels, to charge the batteries, to power and display data on the LED panels, and to coordinate functionality amongst system components.

Security tag

A security tag (100) for attachment to an item comprises a pair of flat panels (102, 104) joined together by a flexible hinge (106). Each panel (103, 104) has an inner surface and an outer surface. The panels are foldable about the flexible hinge with the inner surfaces of the panels abutting each other. One panel has a retainer (112) for a flexible tie of plastics material and the other panel has an orifice (116) in alignment with the retainer (112). The security tag (100) can only be removed by breaking the plastics tie.

Lanyard clip

The present disclosure describes clips for lanyards, such as hard hat lanyards. The clips include opposing teeth that move to a closed/clamped position to secure a lanyard to a user, such as to the clothes of a user. The clip includes a body, a lever and a grip. Opposing teeth are located on the grip and body. The clip includes multiple pivoting connections between the body, lever and grip. The teeth on the grip may lie along an arcuate path and/or may have a tooth depth that facilitates engagement with material such as clothing.

A method of affixing an image to an article of clothing. The method includes providing a patch having a receptor substrate defining a receptor periphery and an embroidered frame sewn along the receptor periphery. The receptor substrate has a receptor side and an opposing attachment side. The method includes providing a sticker having a sticker body with a sticker front side and a sticker back side. The sticker has an image at the sticker front side and sticker adhesive at the sticker back side. The sticker further has a sticker periphery sized and configured to fit within the embroidered frame. The method includes affixing the sticker to the receptor substrate using the sticker adhesive with the sticker back side attached to the receptor side within the embroidered frame. The method includes affixing the patch to the article of clothing with the attachment side against the article of clothing.

A badge system for a shirt carrier or like body armor carrying includes an attachment panel and a badge flap removably attached to the attachment panel. A retention tab is located at the top of the attachment panel such that the top edge of the badge is sandwiched between the strap and the attachment panel to secure the badge to the carrier. The badge flap is printable and embroiderable or may be used a surface on which badges or other items can be attached. The badge flaps can be conveniently printed or embroidered in bulk, avoiding the difficulties associated with printing or embroidering directly on the shirt carrier.

A system for forming display holders, such as name badges, identification badges, name plates, signs and the like, from modular, interchangeable components. In one embodiment a display holder is provided comprising a display subassembly having a cover and a backer plate releasably connectable to the cover, the plate having a first connector located on a rear surface of the plate. The display holder also includes a second connector releasably connectable to the first connector for positioning the display subassembly relative to a support surface.
