The memory is configured to comprise modules of executable instructions. The controller is configured to read and execute the modules. The transceiver is configured to communicate data transmissions. The external display is configured to exhibit information on the vehicle, visible in the external environment. The camera is configured to capture an image of the vehicle environment. The executable instructions enable the controller to: receive an image of the vehicle environment comprising a selected object; perform the image recognition module to identify the selected object; receive the results of the image recognition module; communicate the results to the technology platform; receive subjective message information from the technology platform; and operate the external display to exhibit the subjective message information to the vehicle environment.

A controller having at least one of a humidity sensor and a temperature sensor is in communication with the outer surface of the body panel, wherein the controller operates the thermal structure according to data delivered to the controller from at least one of the humidity and temperature sensors.

The peripheral device is operable to receive the signal via the second wireless subsystem and execute the command. The system utilizes a wireless protocol that specifies a unique identification for the system. The master controller and the peripheral device are each configured via the wireless protocol. The configuration includes storage of the unique identification and operability to restrict wireless communication to wireless communication with other devices so configured.

The center light includes an indicia in a non-colored transparent material and the platform light, disposed between the perimeter light and the center light, that produces a red color. In one embodiment, the light assembly is operably connected to remote control, allowing a user to activate and deactivate the light assembly.

Method for integrating a display in an outer skin of a vehicle body

A method integrates a display, in particular an electronic display, in an outer skin of a vehicle, in one region of a body of the vehicle. The outer skin of the vehicle body, at least in the region of the vehicle body, is formed by a plastic molding, or at least has such a plastic molding. The display is formed together with the plastic moulding, in a joint moulding step, to give a vehicle-body contour, wherein the display surface of the display faces away from the plastic molding.

System with one-way filter over light-emitting elements

A system may have an exterior display. The exterior display may display symbols that correspond to intended actions for the system or instructions for nearby viewers. The exterior display may include an array of light-emitting diodes, a collimator, a one-way filter to prevent sunlight from washing out the display, and a cover layer. The one-way filter may include a microlens array and a masking layer. The collimator is configured to collimate light from the array of light-emitting diodes and provide the collimated light to the one-way filter. The microlens array receives the collimated light and focuses the collimated light through a plurality of holes in the masking layer. In this way, the majority of display light is passed through the one-way filter towards a viewer. However, the majority of ambient sunlight is blocked by the masking layer, thus preserving a high contrast for the exterior display even in bright sunlight.
