Symbol verification for an intelligent label device
10147098 · 2018-12-04 · ·

Briefly, a method for verifying the visual perceptibility of a display is provided. An intended message is written to a bistable display. Pixels that comprise portions of the message are measured and evaluated to determine if the message actually displayed on the bistable display was perceptible by a human or a machine. In some cases, information regarding the message actually perceivable from the display may be stored for later use. Responsive to determining that a message is perceivable or not perceivable, alarms may be set, one or more third parties notified, or additional display features may be set.

BISTABLE DISPLAY AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

A bistable display includes: an inner box constituted of a first substrate, a second substrate and a box body surrounding a space between the first substrate and the second substrate, a bistable display material is injected into the space, and one or more of a common electrode conductive layer, a pattern conductive layer, and a background conductive layer are respectively formed on the first substrate and/or the second substrate inside the inner box, and the common electrode conductive layer is led out of the inner box through a common electrode, the pattern conductive layer is led out of the inner box through a pattern electrode, and the background conductive layer is led out of the inner box through a background electrode.

Indicators

Various embodiments of indicators, their use, and their construction are described. An indicator may include a plurality of bistable display portions. The plurality of bistable display portions may be changed from a first state to a second state to indicate the passage of a predetermined time period. The plurality of bistable portions may also be changed to a third state to indicate an amount of time past the predetermined time period. An indicator may also include a plurality of event labels arranged to form an event flow path, a plurality of event inputs, and a plurality of bistable displays which may be controlled to indicate an event status.

Color conversion panel and display device including the same

A color conversion panel includes: a substrate; a plurality of light emitting regions on the substrate; and a light blocking region between adjacent light emitting regions among the plurality of light emitting regions, wherein the light emitting regions respectively comprise: a color filter disposed on the substrate; and a color conversion layer comprising at least one of a phosphor or a quantum dot and a polymer layer overlapping with at least one of the color filter and the substrate, and the light blocking region comprises a partition comprising at least two overlapping color filters of different colors from each other.

Display processing terminal device, photosensor-equipped unit, and photometric system

In a photometric system, a photosensor-equipped unit includes a transmission information holding portion that holds transmission information relating to a screen display direction of a display portion with a content suitable for a photosensor. When the photosensor-equipped unit is connected to a display processing terminal device, the photosensor-equipped unit can transmit the transmission information to the display processing terminal device. The display processing terminal device includes a screen display control portion that executes a display direction setting process during connection for setting a screen display direction of the display portion based upon the transmission information.

Display module and electronic terminal

The present invention provides a display module (100; 200) and an electronic terminal. The display module (100; 200) comprises: a first display unit (130; 240) configured to display first image information in a first direction; a second display unit (140; 250) configured to display second image information in a second direction; and a sensor unit (150; 260) provided between the first display unit (130; 240) and the second display unit (140; 250) and configured to sense an object's approach or touch on the first display unit (130; 240) and/or the second display unit (140; 250). With the display module (100; 200), the object's approach or touch on the first display unit (130; 240) and the second display unit (140; 250) can be sensed by a single sensor unit (150; 260). There is no need to provide a sensor unit (150; 260) for each of the display units (130; 240; 140; 250) for touch sensing function. In this way, it is possible to reduce the thickness of the display module (100; 200), make it slimmer and more beautiful while reducing manufacture cost.

Reducing energy consumption of a display

Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems, methods, and computer program product for managing power consumption of a display. An illumination area of the display may be adjusted to limit or increase a number of activated light emitting devices, and thus, adjust power consumption of the display. A device may receive an input to adjust the first illumination area to the second illumination area. In response, a device may, for example, disable a portion of the first illumination area not included in the second illumination area. In another example, a device may enable a portion of the second illumination area not included in the first illumination area. An amount of operation time and/or energy storage may be calculated, based at least in part on a resize of an illumination area of the display.
