In one embodiment, a method is provided. The method includes comparing a first hue of a displayed test pattern with a second hue of a generated test pattern to determine one or more differences in hue. The displayed test pattern is displayed on a display of a media viewing device, and the media viewing device receives and displays digital content. The displayed test pattern includes a first plurality of steps, and a first step of the first plurality of steps includes the first hue. The generated test pattern includes a second plurality of steps, and each step of the second plurality of steps includes the second hue. The one or more differences in hue are utilized to determine a quality of the digital content displayed on the media viewing device.

A burn-in compensation method and a computing device configured for burn-in compensation is disclosed. The burn-in compensation can minimize or eliminate a burn-in of an OLED display having areas with different pixel densities. Each area of the OLED display may be divided into zones that include one or more pixels and a burn-in factor may be computed for the zones. A limiting burn-in factor may be determined from a limiting zone that exhibits the highest burn-in. Other zones with burn-in factors that area significantly different from the limiting burn-in factor can be adjusted so that the pixels in the adjusted zones can be driven to radiate similar light at a power similar to the liming zone. The burn-in compensation may be performed for each area and a transition region may be created between areas to minimize light artifacts after burn-in compensation.

An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a method for processing an image. The method comprise: determining weights corresponding to candidate colors for a target color based on an original color of a pixel in the image; selecting a target color of the pixel from the candidate colors based on the weights; and converting the original color of the pixel into the target color to obtain a target image. According to the embodiment of the present disclosure, by determining the weights of the candidate colors, the image can be converted into the target image comprising only the candidate colors, thereby using a limited number of candidate colors to represent the target image.

An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a method for processing an image. The method comprise: determining weights corresponding to candidate colors for a target color based on an original color of a pixel in the image; selecting a target color of the pixel from the candidate colors based on the weights; and converting the original color of the pixel into the target color to obtain a target image.
