PIXEL ARRANGEMENT STRUCTURES, DISPLAY PANELS, AND DISPLAY DEVICES
The present application relates to a pixel arrangement structure, including first sub-pixels, second sub-pixels, third sub-pixels, and fourth sub-pixels. Centers of two of the first sub-pixels arranged opposite to each other and centers of two of the second sub-pixels arranged opposite to each other are taken as vertices and are connected to form a virtual quadrilateral. The virtual quadrilateral includes two equal sides arranged opposite to each other, a short side and a long side arranged opposite to each other and connected to vertices of the equal sides. The short side of the virtual quadrilateral is not parallel to the long side of the virtual quadrilateral. One of the third sub-pixels or one of the fourth sub-pixels is arranged in the virtual quadrilateral, and the third sub-pixel and the fourth sub-pixel emits light in a same color.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SELECTIVELY PRESENTING CONTENT
A method, system, apparatus, and/or device for displaying a portion of data so as to not obstruct a portion of a central visual field. The method, system, apparatus, and/or device may include a display configured to display data and a processing device coupled to the display. The processing device may be configured to determine a position of an eye of a viewer with respect to the display, define a first region of the display substantially corresponding with a peripheral vision field of the eye, define a second region of the display substantially corresponding with a central visual field of the eye, send a first portion of the data to be displayed at the first region, and send a second portion of the data to be displayed at the second output region such that a portion of the central visual field is unobstructed by the second portion of the data.

Asymmetric image transmission method and electronic device thereof
An asymmetric image transmission method and an electronic device thereof are provided. The asymmetric image transmission method is applicable to transmission of an image signal from a transmitter to a receiver and includes: modifying, by the transmitter, a first image pixel length in the image signal that conforms to a four-byte mode to a second image pixel length of a three-byte mode; transmitting a plurality of image pixels of the second image pixel length in the three-byte mode respectively through three transmission lanes of a transmission interface; and modifying, by the receiver, the second image pixel length of the image pixels to the first image pixel length of the four-byte mode to obtain the image signal.

Display device and optical sensing module thereof
An optical sensing module, including a frame, a light sensing element, and a diffusion element is provided. The light sensing element is disposed on the frame. The diffusion element is connected to the frame and is disposed above the light sensing element. In a first sensing mode, ambient light passes through the diffusion element before received by the light sensing element to make the optical sensing module to obtain light intensity of the ambient light. In a second sensing mode, the optical sensing module rotates around a first rotation axis to make the light sensing element face a display surface of the display device for receiving image light of the display surface so that the optical sensing module obtains brightness or chromaticity of the display device. A display device having this optical sensing module is also provided.

Perceptually improved color display in image sequences on physical displays
A perceived gamut (PG) of a physical display device presenting frames of an image sequence to a human viewer may be increased. An interface of the system receives a sequence of frames from an image sequence source with each frame having input color data associated with each pixel of the respective frame, the input color data being given in a specified color space. A perceived color computation module computes for each particular frame of the received image sequence perceived colors of each pixel and a frame-specific adapted white point. An optimizer module applies a chromatic adaptation transformation to each window frame to determine display gamut adjusted perceived colors of each pixel of the respective frame and an error per window frame. The chromatic adaptation transformation is updated for all window frames to minimize the determined error, and the current frame is output to the display.
