Hardware-Based Graphics Interface for Medical Device Sensors and Controllers
A completely hardware-based graphics interface controller for reading values from sensors or outputting voltages, currents, or other electrical parameters to medical devices is proposed. The graphics interface controller accepts analog or digital input into a programmable logic device (PLD), whose logic gates convert the input value to memory addresses of bitmaps that represent digits or other characters. The bitmaps are copied to respective x, y coordinates in a frame buffer, which are then displayed on a matrix liquid crystal display (LCD) panel. The bitmaps can be simple or elaborate, mimicking the rich look and feel of general purpose computer fonts so that the display output is compelling and modern-looking despite being entirely hardware based. A ventilator or other medical device can be instrumented with one or more sensors whose outputs are to the graphics interface, and an alarm can be triggered for off-nominal conditions.
Character string display device and character string display method
There is provided a character string display device including a character string display unit (10) including a plurality of display elements (110) arrayed two-dimensionally, and a display controller (20) configured to cause the character string display unit (10) to display a predetermined character string pattern by controlling display states of the plurality of display elements (110). In the character string display device, the display controller (20) is configured to cause the character string display unit (10) to display the character string pattern such that there is no blank line between consecutive character patterns of the character string pattern and that, when two display elements corresponding to the respective consecutive character patterns are adjacent to each other, a character pattern part corresponding to one of the adjacent display elements (110) is not displayed. The character string display device and a character string display method are simple and low cost, allow effective use of display space, and achieve higher legibility of a character string.

Device and method for driving a display device
A processing system comprises a first integrated circuit (IC) and a second IC. The first IC comprises first image processing circuitry, first display panel driver circuitry, and first communication circuitry. The first image processing circuitry is configured to generate a first overlay image by overlaying a first partial input image with a first image element based on first partial input image data representing the first partial input image and first image element data representing the first image element. The first display panel driver circuitry is configured to drive a display panel based on the first overlay image. The first communication circuitry is configured to output second image element data representing a second image element to the second IC.
DISABILITY-ORIENTED FONT GENERATOR
In some implementations, a font generator device may receive input text that includes one or more characters. The font generator device may generate a disability-oriented font based on one or more parameters that relate to a vision deficiency, wherein the disability-oriented font is readable by users that have the vision deficiency and unreadable by users that do not have the vision deficiency. The font generator device may transform the one or more characters included in the input text into the disability-oriented font. The font generator device may generate an output that represents the input text using the disability-oriented font based on transforming the one or more characters included in the input text into the disability-oriented font.
TERMINAL SHELL SWITCHING
Switching shells attached to a terminal. Suppose that a shell has already output text into the terminal, and at that point a new shell is to be attached to the terminal. That subsequent shell is then started up, and text output is gathered from that new shell. Content representing that new shell is then displayed in the terminal. As an example, if the output is the same for the new shell as it was for the old shell, the terminal can just keep the old output displayed in the terminal, and eliminate the need to also output the identical output from the new shell. If the output of the new shell is different than that of the old shell, the terminal may be refreshed and the new content rendered perhaps in a single frame and/or without displaying text associated with this switching activity.
Drawing device, drawing program, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for editing and managing associations between object, screen, and project scripts
A drawing device includes: a display unit that displays an editing screen for creating a plurality of screens to be displayed on a programmable display device; a screen data generation unit that generates screen data configured by the plurality of screens and including an object that is a display element arranged on the editing screen; a screen script generation unit that generates a screen script that is a processing program to be executed only when a specific screen out of the plurality of screens to be displayed on the programmable display device is displayed; and an association management unit that manages an association between the object and the screen script. When the object is copied from a source editing screen to a destination editing screen, the screen script generation unit registers, with the destination editing screen, the screen script associated with the object to be copied.
