BATTERY CHARGING
An apparatus for a non-combustible aerosol provision system is described comprising: a charging unit configured to charge a battery of said aerosol provision system; a circuit comprising a control module, wherein the control module outputs a first control signal having a charge enable state and a charge disable state; and a protection module configured to decouple the circuit from said battery when the battery voltage is below a first threshold level. The charging unit is configured to charge the battery unless the first control signal has the charge disable state.

An aerosol generating device includes: a first cartridge configured to accommodate a first material and including a delivery hole that is configured to deliver an aerosol generated from the first material; a second cartridge including a plurality of chambers that are each configured to accommodate a second material through which the aerosol delivered from the first cartridge passes and is discharged to the outside, wherein a position of the second cartridge with respect to the first cartridge is changeable so that at least one of the plurality of chambers corresponds to the delivery hole; a position sensor configured to generate a signal by detecting a position of at least one of the plurality of chambers with respect to the delivery hole; and a controller configured to identify a usage chamber based on the signal of the position sensor.

An aerosol generating device includes: a first cartridge configured to accommodate a first material and including a delivery hole that is configured to deliver an aerosol generated from the first material; a second cartridge including a plurality of chambers that are each configured to accommodate a second material through which the aerosol delivered from the first cartridge passes and is discharged to the outside, wherein a position of the second cartridge with respect to the first cartridge is changeable so that at least one of the plurality of chambers corresponds to the delivery hole; a position sensor configured to generate a signal by detecting a position of at least one of the plurality of chambers with respect to the delivery hole; and a controller configured to identify a usage chamber based on the signal of the position sensor.

The controller calculates a first power amount indicating a power amount used by the heater during a preset first time period after a heating operation of the heater is started, and controls the heating operation of the heater based on whether the first power amount is greater than or equal to a preset reference power amount.
