An apparatus for a non-combustible aerosol provision system is described comprising: a charging unit configured to charge a battery of said aerosol provision system; a circuit comprising a control module, wherein the control module outputs a first control signal having a charge enable state and a charge disable state; and a protection module configured to decouple the circuit from said battery when the battery voltage is below a first threshold level. The charging unit is configured to charge the battery unless the first control signal has the charge disable state.

An aerosol delivery system comprising a first air passage having a first aerosol generator, and a second air passage separate from the first air passage having a second aerosol generator, wherein the first aerosol generator is operable to generate a first aerosol including an active ingredient, and the second aerosol generator is operable to generate a second aerosol including an active ingredient, the first aerosol being less visible than the second aerosol in use; and wherein the aerosol delivery system is configurable to selectively operate the first aerosol generator alone; the second aerosol generator alone; or the first and second aerosol generators together.

An aerosol generating device includes: a first cartridge configured to accommodate a first material and including a delivery hole that is configured to deliver an aerosol generated from the first material; a second cartridge including a plurality of chambers that are each configured to accommodate a second material through which the aerosol delivered from the first cartridge passes and is discharged to the outside, wherein a position of the second cartridge with respect to the first cartridge is changeable so that at least one of the plurality of chambers corresponds to the delivery hole; a position sensor configured to generate a signal by detecting a position of at least one of the plurality of chambers with respect to the delivery hole; and a controller configured to identify a usage chamber based on the signal of the position sensor.

An aerosol generating device includes: a first cartridge configured to accommodate a first material and including a delivery hole that is configured to deliver an aerosol generated from the first material; a second cartridge including a plurality of chambers that are each configured to accommodate a second material through which the aerosol delivered from the first cartridge passes and is discharged to the outside, wherein a position of the second cartridge with respect to the first cartridge is changeable so that at least one of the plurality of chambers corresponds to the delivery hole; a position sensor configured to generate a signal by detecting a position of at least one of the plurality of chambers with respect to the delivery hole; and a controller configured to identify a usage chamber based on the signal of the position sensor.

A power supply unit for an aerosol generation device includes: a power supply configured to supply power to a heater configured to heat an aerosol source; a step-up system configured to function by a stepped-up voltage supplied from the power supply; a step-down system configured to function by a stepped-down voltage supplied from the power supply; and a direct-coupling system configured to function by a voltage supplied from the power supply.

Disclosed is an aerosol generating device including a heater that heats an aerosol generating material and a controller that controls power to be supplied to the heater. The controller calculates a first power amount indicating a power amount used by the heater during a preset first time period after a heating operation of the heater is started, and controls the heating operation of the heater based on whether the first power amount is greater than or equal to a preset reference power amount.

The controller is configured to execute a flavor determination for determining whether an aerosol source and a flavor source contain menthol, cause the first notification unit and the second notification unit to notify a user of a result of the flavor determination, when the flavor determination is executed before generation of aerosol to which the flavor of the flavor source is added, and cause only the first notification unit of the first notification unit and the second notification unit to notify the user of a result of the latest flavor determination, when the flavor determination is not executed before generation of the aerosol to which the flavor of the flavor source is added.

The controller is configured to execute flavor information acquisition processing of acquiring information on whether an aerosol source and a flavor source contain menthol respectively. The controller is configured execute the flavor information acquisition processing when at least one of a change from a state in which a first load is not connected to a first connector to a state in which the first load is connected to the first connector and a change from a state in which the second load is not capable of heating the flavor source to a state in which the second load is capable of heating the flavor source is detected.
