Digital marketing applications for electronic cigarette users

An electronic cigarette (“e-Cig”) may include functionality for targeted marketing. The marketing may be through communications with a computing device, such as a smartphone. For example, a smartphone application may be used for monitoring e-Cig usage and collecting data regarding the user and the usage. That data may result in targeted marketing. In another example, location information may also be used for targeted advertisements from a retailer.

Cartridge comprising a coupling element for use in an aerosol-generating system

A cartridge for an aerosol-generating system is provided, including a first sealed container including a nicotine source comprising a first carrier material impregnated with between about 1 milligram and about 50 milligrams of nicotine; a second sealed container including an acid source; and a coupling element disposed between the first sealed container and the second sealed container, wherein the first sealed container, the second sealed container, and the coupling element are separate components that are connected together to form the cartridge, and wherein the coupling element is directly connected to both the first sealed container and the second sealed container so as to form a substantially rigid connection between the first sealed container and the second sealed container.

DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS

Systems and methods of an electronic drug delivery system for use in a treatment program (e.g., a smoking cessation program). The delivery system can include a mobile platform and a hand-held inhalation delivery device having a controller circuit coupled to a power source, sensors, aerosolizer drivers, and a rescue button, and a pod removably coupled to the delivery device. The delivery system generates an aerosol mixture from substances in the pod in accordance with the treatment program, and delivers the aerosol mixture for inhalation by a user. The controller circuit individually and dynamically controls the aerosolizer drivers to generate signals that drive a plurality of thermal, or non-thermal, aerosolizers of the pod to generate individually tailored aerosol mixtures from multiple substances in the aerosolizer pod. The generated aerosol mixtures can have various percentages of the substances, and have different aerosol droplet sizes during different portions of the treatment program.

The present disclosure describes an aerosol delivery component comprising a tank defining a storage chamber for storing a first liquid aerosol precursor and an air bleed channel extending from an outside channel opening outside of the tank to an inside channel opening within the tank. The air bleed channel has a volume between 1% and 20%, e.g. greater than 10% of the volume of the storage chamber. The air bleed channel may comprise an s-bend channel for retaining the first liquid aerosol precursor in an inverted orientation of the component.
