A display apparatus includes a display panel and a display panel driver. The display panel includes a first display area having a first pixel structure and a second display area having a second pixel structure different from the first pixel structure. The display panel driver drives the display panel in a first mode when an image complexity of input image data corresponding to a determination area which includes the first display area is greater than a threshold value and to drive the display panel in a second mode different from the first mode when the image complexity of the input image data is less than or equal to the threshold value.

A viewing angle switchable display device can include a display panel including a plurality of sub-pixels, where each sub-pixel has a first emission area and a second emission area. The display device can further include a lens over the display panel and corresponding to the second emission area, wherein a size of the second emission area is smaller than a size of the first emission area.

A display device includes a display panel having a display region, and including a light transmission region overlapping an electronic element within an edge portion of the display region, and a panel driver configured to drive the display panel, and configured to perform an edge-dimming operation that gradually decreases a luminance of an area of the display region excluding the light transmission region from a center portion of the display region to the edge portion of the display region while not decreasing a luminance of the light transmission region.

A display panel and a display device are provided. The display panel includes: a substrate, a plurality of pixel units, a functional signal line, and a first conductive structure. The substrate includes a display area and a peripheral area on at least one side of the display area, the plurality of pixel units are in the display area, each pixel unit includes a light-emitting unit and a pixel circuit structure for providing a driving current to the light-emitting unit, and the light-emitting unit is an electroluminescent element. The functional signal line is connected with the pixel circuit structure of each pixel unit and provides a common voltage signal for the pixel circuit structure. The first conductive structure is connected in parallel with the functional signal line and is located at a layer different from that of the functional signal line.

A display module includes a first substrate; a plurality of micro-pixel packages provided on an upper surface of the first substrate and including a plurality of pixels arranged in two dimensions; a plurality of micro-pixel controllers provided on the upper surface of the first substrate and configured to control the plurality of micro-pixel packages; and a driver integrated chip (IC) configured to transmit a driving signal to the plurality of micro-pixel controllers, wherein upper ends of the plurality of micro-pixel packages are positioned higher than upper ends of the plurality of micro-pixel controllers with respect to the upper surface of the first substrate.

The signal line includes a branch, and the branch is electrically connected to one of the display pixels. The display device and the another display device of the disclosure is capable of reducing the problem of diffraction or having a better optical sensing effect.

Provided are a display including a very-small light-emitting diode (LED) and a method of manufacturing the same. The display includes a panel in which a first signal line and a second signal line are disposed in a lattice form, an LED module including an electrode assembly having a first electrode connected to the first signal line and the second signal line and a second electrode connected to a ground, and a plurality of very-small LEDs connected to the first electrode and the second electrode, and two or more switches which connect the first signal line and the second signal line to the first electrode, wherein the second electrode is connected to a common electrode formed on the panel, at least one other LED module is grounded to the common electrode, and the two or more switches selectively provide a current supplied through the first signal line to the first electrode on the basis of a signal of the first signal line and a signal of the second signal line.

A display device includes a first display region, a second display region, a curved portion provided between the first display region and the second display region, a plurality of first control lines provided in the first display region and extending in a first direction in which the first display region and the second display region are arranged side by side, and a plurality of second control lines provided in the second display region and extending in the first direction.
