Display device and method for driving same
The present invention discloses a current-driven display device employing an internal compensation scheme and capable of displaying a favorable image with no occurrence of a bright point not included in the original display content. A voltage Vg at a gate terminal of a drive transistor M1 is initialized in a pixel circuit 15 of an organic EL display device before a voltage of a data signal line Dj is written to a holding capacitor C1 via the drive transistor M1 in a diode-connected state. At this time, an initialization voltage Vini is supplied to the gate terminal via a first initialization transistor M4 and a threshold compensation transistor M3. In this manner, a path for initializing the gate terminal of the drive transistor M1 is formed by the first initialization transistor M4 and the threshold compensation transistor M3 connected in series to each other, thereby preventing a voltage reduction at the gate terminal due to leakage current in an off-state transistor.

The display panel includes a light emitting element and a pixel circuit that includes a data writing module configured to provide a data signal and an adjusting voltage, a driving module configured to provide a driving current to the light emitting element and including a driving transistor, and a compensation module configured to compensate a threshold voltage of the driving transistor. An operation process of the display panel includes a period of a data writing frame during which the pixel circuit executes a data writing phase during which the data writing module writes the data signal and a light emitting phase, and a period of a holding frame during which the pixel circuit executes a reset and adjustment phase during which the data writing module writes the adjusting voltage and the light emitting phase.
Display device and method of driving the same
A display device includes a display unit which includes pixels and displays an image, a data driver which supplies a data signal to the pixels, and a timing controller which controls the data driver using a timing control signal. Here, the timing control signal may include a vertical synchronization signal for defining a frame period and a data enable signal for defining a display period during which an image is displayed and a blank period during which an image is not displayed. Here, lengths of blank periods may be equal to each other in a first driving mode in which the vertical synchronization signal is supplied to the timing controller in a constant cycle and in a second driving mode in which the vertical synchronization signal is supplied in different cycles.

SCANNING SIGNAL LINE DRIVE CIRCUIT AND DISPLAY DEVICE PROVIDED WITH SAME
In each unit circuit constituting a shift register, as thin film transistors configured to lower a gate output, a thin film transistor whose state is controlled by a first reset signal and a thin film transistor whose state is controlled by a second reset signal are provided. Then, during the period in which a thin film transistor functioning as a buffer transistor is maintained in an ON state, the first reset signal changes from a low level to a high level, and then the second reset signal changes from a low level to a high level at a timing at which a corresponding gate bus line is to be changed from a selected state to an unselected state.
Display device having touch sensor and driving method thereof
Disclosed is a display device having touch sensors and a driving method thereof, and the display device includes an integrated circuit (IC) having a data driver and a touch sensor driver. The display device prevents malfunction of the touch sensor driver by separating at least one of power for the data driver and the touch sensor driver.
Controlling method of display device and display device
The present disclosure provides a controlling method of a display device and the display device. The controlling method may include: detecting whether the display device is at the beginning of the touch panel scanning or during the touch panel scanning; and stopping at least one signal/current scanning operation which is different from the display scanning within the display device if at the beginning of the touch panel scanning or during the touch panel scanning. The present disclosure firstly detects the scanning states of the display device, and stops other scanning operations different from the display scanning when the display device performs the touch panel scanning, which can prevent the display device from being affected by other scar ling operations during the touch panel scanning, thus ensuring the normal operation of the touch panel.
Display unit with touch detection function and electronic unit
A display unit with touch detection function includes a plurality of pixel signal lines each transmitting a pixel signal for display; a pixel signal line drive section applying the pixel signal to each of the pixel signal lines; display elements each performing display based on the pixel signal; touch detection electrodes each outputting a detection signal based on a change in capacitance occurring due to an external proximity object; and a touch detection section detecting, in a touch detection period, a touch event based on the detection signal, the touch detection period being different from a display period for the display elements to perform display operation. The pixel signal line drive section maintains a voltage of each of the pixel signal lines at a certain level during the touch detection period.

Light emitting diode display device and method of operating the same
A method of operating a light emitting diode (LED) display device is provided. The method includes determining idle time periods respectively corresponding to LED driving clock signals, based on a number of LED driving clock signals corresponding to one frame, controlling generation of the LED driving clock signals, based on the determined idle time periods, and driving an LED module in a unit of an LED line, based on the generated LED driving clock signals. As the LED display device automatically adjusts idle time periods of the LED driving clock signals, the occurrence of flicker in the LED display device may be reduced.
