DRIVING METHOD AND APPARATUS OF DISPLAY PANEL
The present disclosure discloses a driving method and apparatus of a display panel. When the display panel is driven to display a (2k−1).sup.th image, only display data, corresponding to pixels of one row group, in image data of a k.sup.th display frame of a plurality of display frames are transmitted to a driver chip in the display panel, and a data size transmitted may be reduced. When the display panel is driven to display a (2k).sup.th image, display data, corresponding to pixels of another row group, in the image data of the k.sup.th display frame are transmitted to the driver chip in the display panel, and the data size transmitted may also be reduced.
DATA DRIVER AND DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
A data driver includes a multi-channel sample/hold circuit electrically connected between a digital-to-analog converter and a data buffer. The multi-channel sample/hold circuit includes a first sample/hold circuit connected to a first channel and a second sample/hold circuit connected to a second channel. The first sample/hold circuit performs a first drive operation and a second drive operation. The first drive operation includes sampling a data voltage as a buffer input voltage and maintaining the buffer input voltage during an n.sup.th horizontal time. The second drive operation includes outputting the buffer input voltage to an output terminal of the buffer during an (n+1).sup.th horizontal time. The second sample/hold circuit performs the second drive operation during the n.sup.th horizontal time and performs the first drive operation during the (n+1).sup.th horizontal time.
FRAME PACING FOR IMPROVED EXPERIENCES IN 3D APPLICATIONS
Methods, systems and apparatuses may provide for technology that determines measured timing data in response to a presentation request from an application, wherein the measured timing data is associated with one or more previous frames and the presentation request is associated with one or more subsequent frames. The technology may also determine scheduling times for the subsequent frame(s) based on the measured timing data, wherein the scheduling times include a simulation time, a rendering time, a driver submission time, a hardware submission time, and a display time. In one example, the technology controls a pacing of the subsequent frame(s) on a display in accordance with the scheduling times.
