An information processing apparatus includes an acquisition unit (111) that acquires information regarding movement of an object, and a control unit (111) that projects the object in a display region at a projection timing set according to a first period, and corrects display information according to a result of the projection in accordance with a plurality of display timings each set for each second period shorter than the first period, and the control unit controls correction of second display information to maintain continuity according to the movement of the object between first display information displayed according to a first projection result of the object in accordance with a first display timing, and the second display information displayed according to a second projection result of the object in accordance with a second display timing immediately after the first display timing.

Image correction

In one embodiment, a computing system may render an image to be output by a display which sequentially outputs pixel rows of the image at a row-to-row velocity. The system may predict, based on eye-tracking data, an eye-motion velocity within a timeframe for displaying the image. The system may determine a predicted retina projection displacement for each pixel row based on the row-to-row velocity and eye-motion velocity. The system may determine a first correction displacement for each pixel row based on the predicted retina projection displacement. The system may determine a cumulative correction displacement based on the first correction displacement. The system may determine, for each pixel row, a second correction displacement based on the first correction displacement of that pixel row and the cumulative correction displacement. The system may warp each pixel row using the associated second correction displacement and output the warped pixel rows using the display.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING AUGMENTED REALITY (AR)-BASED ASSISTANCE WITHIN WORK ENVIRONMENT

Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing augmented reality (AR)-based assistance within a work environment. In various embodiments, a computing system might receive, from a camera having a field of view of a work environment, first images of at least part of the work environment, the first images overlapping with a field of view of a user wearing an AR headset; might analyze the received first images to identify objects; might query a database(s) to determine a task associated with a first object(s) among the identified objects; might generate an image overlay providing at least one of graphical icon-based, text-based, image-based, and/or highlighting-based instruction(s) each indicative of instructions presented to the user to implement the task associated with the first object(s); and might display, to the user's eyes through the AR headset, the generated first image overlay that overlaps with the field of view of the user's eyes.

Preemptive refresh for reduced display judder

In an embodiment, an electronic device includes an electronic display. The electronic display provides a programmable latency period in response to receiving a first image frame corresponding to first image frame data. The electronic display also displays the first image frame after the programmable latency period and during display of the first image frame, receives a second image frame corresponding to second image frame data. The electronic display also repeats display of the first image frame in response to receiving the second image frame.

A method for adjusting an over-rendered area of a display in an AR device is described. The method includes identifying an angular velocity of a display device, a most recent pose of the display device, previous warp poses, and previous over-rendered areas, and adjusting a size of a dynamic over-rendered area based on a combination of the angular velocity, the most recent pose, the previous warp poses, and the previous over-rendered areas.

Content-adaptive duty ratio control

Example devices may include a display (such as an emissive display), and a controller, where the controller is configured to determine an image content parameter for a displayed image shown on the display, and adjust a duty ratio of the display based on the image content parameter. The duty ratio may be dynamically adjusted based on, for example, an image content parameter that may be related to the brightness of the image, or a portion thereof. The controller may be configured to determine an image content parameter for each of one or more portions of a displayed image, and adjust a duty ratio for corresponding parts of the display based on the image content parameter associated with the respective one or more portions of the displayed image.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EFFICIENT GENERATION OF SINGLE PHOTON AVALANCHE DIODE IMAGERY WITH PERSISTENCE

A system for efficiently generating SPAD imagery with persistence is configurable to capture an image frame, capture pose data associated with the capturing of the image frame, and access a persistence frame. The persistence frame includes a preceding composite image frame generated based on at least two preceding image frames. The at least two preceding image frames are associated with timepoints that precede a capture timepoint associated with the image frame. The system is configurable to generate a persistence term based on (i) the pose data, (ii) a similarity comparison based on the image frame and the persistence frame, or (iii) a signal strength associated with the image frame. The system is configurable to generate a composite image based on the image frame, the persistence frame, and the persistence term. The persistence term defines a contribution of the image frame and the persistence frame to the composite image.
