HEAD MOUNTED DISPLAY DEVICE AND DISPLAY CONTENT CONTROL METHOD
A head mounted display device includes: a mounting state sensor (for example, a sensor) in which a sensor value changes according to a mounting state; a mounting state determination unit for determining a mounting state according to an output of the mounting state sensor; a storage unit for storing a content to be displayed; a content control unit for changing the content stored in the storage unit; and a display unit for displaying the content stored in the storage unit. The content control unit changes the content according to the mounting state output by the mounting state determination unit.
Method of driving display panel including compensating for flicker and display apparatus for performing the same
A method of driving a display panel includes dividing an input image into a plurality of segments, generating a flicker value of a segment of the plurality of segments, determining whether to compensate the flicker value of the segment or not according to a segment size, compensating the flicker value of the segment based on the segment size, determining a frame rate of the display panel based on the flicker value of the segment and outputting a data voltage to the display panel in the frame rate. The flicker value of the segment is compensated based on the flicker value of the segment and flicker values of segments that are adjacent to the segment.
Method for controlling display and electronic device thereof
A foldable mobile terminal apparatus and control method are provided. The apparatus includes a first section, a second section coupled to the first section and movable between a folded state and an unfolded state including a plurality of partially folded states, a flexible display coupled to the first and second sections, a first sensor, and at least one processor to, while the mobile terminal apparatus is partially folded, identify one of the partially folded states of the mobile terminal apparatus, and control the display to display information corresponding to a compass direction based on magnetic related information obtained by the first sensor and according to the identified partially folded states. The electronic device can prevent distortion of the first sensor caused by the display by calibrating the geomagnetic value of the sensor based on an angle between a first surface of a first section and a third surface of the second section.
DISPLAY DEVICE
A display device includes a display panel which displays an image, and a panel driving block which receives a control signal and generating a criterion point signal including information about a criterion point for adjusting luminance of the image based on the control signal. The panel driving block receives image signals, generates a correction value based on distance information about a location of the display panel, at which each of the image signals is displayed, and the criterion point, and generates correction image signals by converting the image signals based on the correction value.
ADAPTIVE RECOLORING
Adaptive recoloring of displayed digital content automatically pursues specified active color palette goals while adhering to specified active color palette constraints. Source code editors, word processors, and other programs are enhanced by adaptive recoloring. Recoloring rules may specify coloring roles, colors, tolerances, color spaces, metrics, and other criteria. Recoloring may be triggered by a zoom or another change in user focus, by a brightness change, a screen size change, by notice of a user perception change, or by another event. Recoloring improves text legibility, assists user focus, compensates for differences in color perception and emotional impact, and increases color availability without degrading usability, for example. Transitions between words or other display items can be heightened. Branding colors may be preserved, in logos and text. Automatic selections may be overridden by a user command or by interactive tuning, with warnings given as appropriate.
Playback of media streams in dependence of a time of a day
This disclosure concerns the providing of media, and more particularly to the streaming of media. In accordance with an example embodiment: a portion of a day is determined; a first data message is sent to a computer server system. The first data message comprises instructions to the computer server system to return media content associated with the determined portion of the day. A second data message is received from the computer server system, the second data message comprising media content associated with the determined portion of the day. In response thereto is playback performed of the media content at the user interface of the electronic device in dependence of the determined portion of the day. While performing playback is a visual appearance parameter of the user interface adjusted according the determined portion of the day.
Display device and method of preventing afterimage thereof
The present disclosure provides a display device that includes a preprocessor, a controller, and a display panel. The preprocessor includes an area determiner outputting area data, a modulator outputting modulated data, and a synthesizer converting first image data and outputting second image data including the area data and the modulated data.
Cognitive improvement system and method of testing
An assortment of Cognitive Load Reduction (CLR) systems is disclosed. The systems are worn by a user, rather than appearing on displays in front of the user. This arrangement allows the systems to be movable and less confining. This in turn results in the wearer employing the CLR systems in a wider variety of environments than earlier mechanisms.
Electro-optic displays, and methods for driving same
There are provided methods for driving an electro-optic display having a plurality of display pixels, a such method includes applying a first waveform chosen from a first set of waveforms for black-to-white and white-to-white transitions if a pixel is determined to display color, and applying a second waveform chosen from a second set of waveforms for black-to-white and white-to-white transitions if a pixel is determined to display a grayscale image.
DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE SAME
A display device includes a display configured to display an image and a controller configured to reduce a blue component in the image when an execution command of a blue light reduction function is received. The controller may detect a preset part or color and perform control such that an amount of reduction of a blue component of an area corresponding to the detected part or color is different from that of the remaining area.
