ADAPTIVE RECOLORING
20220392420 · 2022-12-08 ·

Adaptive recoloring of displayed digital content automatically pursues specified active color palette goals while adhering to specified active color palette constraints. Source code editors, word processors, and other programs are enhanced by adaptive recoloring. Recoloring rules may specify coloring roles, colors, tolerances, color spaces, metrics, and other criteria. Recoloring may be triggered by a zoom or another change in user focus, by a brightness change, a screen size change, by notice of a user perception change, or by another event. Recoloring improves text legibility, assists user focus, compensates for differences in color perception and emotional impact, and increases color availability without degrading usability, for example. Transitions between words or other display items can be heightened. Branding colors may be preserved, in logos and text. Automatic selections may be overridden by a user command or by interactive tuning, with warnings given as appropriate.

In a display device and a personal immersive system and a mobile terminal system using the same, at least a part of the display panel includes a switch element configured to electrically connect adjacent sub-pixels to each other in response to a first logic value of a control signal, and electrically separate the adjacent sub-pixels from each other in response to a second logic value of the control signal, a display driver applies the second logic value of the control signal to the switch element when receiving pixel data to be written to a focal region on the display panel to which a user's gaze is directed, and applies the first logic value of the control signal to the switch element when receiving pixel data to be written to a non-focal region on the display panel.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GUIDING A VEHICLE OCCUPANT'S ATTENTION
20220379690 · 2022-12-01 ·

Systems and methods for guiding a vehicle occupant's attention are disclosed herein. One embodiment selects automatically a particular region of an environment external to a vehicle and guides an occupant of the vehicle to look at the particular region by automatically adjusting the transparency of one or more windows of the vehicle such that a first portion of the one or more windows through which the occupant is able to see the particular region is more transparent than a second portion of the one or more windows that is adjacent to the first portion.

Display panel with inactive region used in a head mounted display

An electronic display includes a display panel that operates in a single display mode to provide a single display, or a dual display mode to provide two displays separated by an inactive region. The electronic display includes the display panel and a panel driver. The display panel includes a left pixel region, a right pixel region, and a middle pixel region between the left and right pixel regions. In the single display mode of the electronic display, the panel driver provides first gate signals generated from first input data to the left, right, and middle pixel regions. In a dual display mode, the panel driver provides second gate signals generated from second input data to the left and right pixel regions. The first input data has a first resolution that is larger than a second resolution of the second input data.

DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE SAME

A display device includes a display configured to display an image and a controller configured to reduce a blue component in the image when an execution command of a blue light reduction function is received. The controller may detect a preset part or color and perform control such that an amount of reduction of a blue component of an area corresponding to the detected part or color is different from that of the remaining area.
