SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING BRIGHTNESS ON DIGITAL DISPLAYS FOR OPTIMUM AND VISIBILITY AND POWER CONSUMPTION
A system and a method for adjusting brightness of a content are provided. The method includes: receiving a camera feed based on a visible-light; measuring a light sensor value indicating an intensity of the visible-light; detecting a translucent surface over a display screen based on capturing a plurality of visible-light parameters from the camera feed and the light sensor value; predicting a reflectance value of the translucent surface using an artificial neural network model based on the plurality of visible-light parameters and an input brightness level associated with the display screen; determining a proportionality of a change in at least one of a camera feed value and the light sensor value with respect to the input brightness level; verifying the reflectance value through a statistical function based on the determined proportionality; and determining an output brightness level for the display screen based on the reflectance value
CONTROLLING CHARACTERISTICS OF LIGHT OUTPUT FROM LED WALLS
A computer-generated scene is generated as background for a live action set, for display on a panel of light emitting diodes (LEDs). Characteristics of light output by the LED panel are controlled such that the computer-generated scene rendered on the LED panel, when captured by a motion picture camera, has high fidelity to the original computer-generated scene. Consequently, the scene displayed on the screen more closely simulates the rendered scene from the viewpoint of the camera. Thus, a viewpoint captured by the camera appears more realistic and/or truer to the creative intent.
Display apparatus and control method thereof
A display apparatus capable of correcting an image quality change caused by long-term use is provided. The display apparatus includes: a display panel; a communicator configured to communicate with a service apparatus; and a controller configured to control the communicator to transmit operation information including a total operating time of the display apparatus and an operating temperature of the display apparatus, to the service apparatus; receive an image parameter from the service apparatus through the communicator, and based on the received image parameter data; process image data; and transmit the processed image to the display panel. The image parameter may include at least one of a brightness level, a contrast, a sharpness level, and a color density of the display panel.
LRUs and related night vision display harmonization methods
Methods, devices and systems are provided for harmonizing output display characteristics of one component with those of other components onboard a vehicle, such as an aircraft. A line-replaceable unit (LRU) suitable includes a display driver to be coupled to a display command bus, a data storage element to maintain calibration information for the display driver, and a control module coupled to the display driver and the data storage element to identify a current state of an input command signal from the display command bus, identify an adjustment for the display driver based on the calibration information using the current state of the input command signal, and automatically operate the display driver in accordance with the adjustment.
Monitor calibration device and method, and monitor control circuit and method
A monitor calibration device, monitor calibration method, monitor control circuit, and monitor control method are provided. The monitor control method is used for controlling a monitor and includes the following steps: controlling the monitor to display a pattern; selecting, in response to a selection signal, one of a plurality of brightness curves as a target brightness curve, or generating by interpolation the target brightness curve; and controlling the brightness of the monitor according to the target brightness curve.
Systems and Methods for Tile Boundary Compensation
An electronic device may display image content via a tile-based display by controlling light emission from display pixels of the tile-based display. Based on image data associated with the image content, a processing circuitry of the tile-based display may receive a potential tile boundary. The processing circuitry may resample the image data based on geometry of the tile boundary and positions of the display pixels on the tile-based panel. After resampling the image data, the processing circuitry may adjust gain of the tile boundary display pixels according to a gain mask to compensate for the tile boundary.

IMAGE ACQUISITION METHOD AND SYSTEM, AND DISPLAY PANEL
An image acquisition method. N images of an object to be shot are acquired. The N images are shot by N shooting devices. Shooting fields of view of the N shooting devices are different from each other. The N images are in one-to-one correspondence with the N shooting devices. Feature extraction is performed on the N images to obtain M features of the N images. M is an integer multiple of N. The M features include M/N types of features.
