Light field displays having synergistic data formatting, re-projection, foveation, tile binning and image warping technology
Systems, methods and apparatuses may provide for technology to reduce rendering overhead associated with light field displays. The technology may conduct data formatting, re-projection, foveation, tile binning and/or image warping operations with respect to a plurality of display planes in a light field display.
DISPLAY-LAYER UPDATE DEFERRAL
Methods and apparatus for displaying layers on a display of a computing device are disclosed. The method includes creating layers from graphical data and assigning a priority to each of the layers. The layers are displayed on the display of the computing device, and in a current draw cycle, any layers assigned an urgent priority are updated. In addition, updates are applied to layers near a touch area of the display and updates to other layers ae deferred until a predefined event occurs.
AVOIDING FLICKER IN ASSOCIATION WITH HOTPLUG OF A DISPLAY
One embodiment provides a graphics processor device that includes circuitry configured to detect a connection of a second display device to a display subsystem of the graphics processor while a first display device of the graphics subsystem is active, write pre-determined pixel data to a reserved portion of memory associated with the display subsystem, configure timings for the second display device while resources allocated to the first display device remain available to the first display device, display the pre-determined pixel data from the reserved portion of the memory on the second display device during reallocation of the resources of the display subsystem to enable output the framebuffer data to the second display device, and transition the second display device from the display of the pixel data in the reserved portion of the memory to the display of the framebuffer data after resources of the display subsystem are reallocated.
System and method for pre-loading flyer image tiles and managing memory for same
In the present disclosure, there is disclosed a communication device including a pre-loading module configured to retrieve a first and a second set of flyer image tiles from a flyer image tile set stored in memory, the first set of flyer image tiles being associated with the most zoomedout state and the second set of flyer image tiles being associated with a zoom level of a current viewport. The pre-loading module is further configured to associate the first set of flyer image tiles with an underlay viewport. The communication device further includes a display configured to display the first set of flyer image tiles in the underlay viewport that are visible in the current viewport and overlay the second set of flyer image tiles visible in the current viewport onto the first set of flyer image tiles.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DYNAMIC CAMOUFLAGING
Systems and methods for dynamic camouflaging are disclosed. A computer-implemented method can be used with the system including determining, by a computing device, if current environment image data is available for a location of one or more users, and instructing, by the computing device, at least one image-enabled clothing system of the one or more users to display a camouflage image based on the determining. The camouflage image is based on the current environment image data when the current environment image data is available, and the camouflage image is based on historic image data associated with the location of the one or more users when the current environment image data is not available.
Enterprise web application constructor system and method
A web-based application constructor can be used to construct a web display. A specification, for constructing a web display to contain page components that display data from heterogeneous data sources, may be created. The page components may be associated with uniform resource locators. Data from heterogeneous data sources may be retrieved to produce the web display. Display and update of the page components may be controlled using the uniform resource locators. User-selectable options may allow annotation of the page components for a page with comments.
FASTER FRAME BUFFER RENDERING OVER A NETWORK
A method and an information handling system (IHS) renders a graphical user interface (GUI) from a remote device using a local storage. An interface controller detects a first event used to initiate access to the GUI at the remote device. The controller requests GUI frame buffer data corresponding to the first event, and GUI change data from the remote device. The GUI change data correspond to respective events that can trigger changes to the GUI. In response to receiving the requested data, the controller provides a first locally-rendered GUI using the GUI frame buffer data. The controller stores the GUI change data in local storage. The controller then detects a second event/interaction via the first locally-rendered GUI and retrieves from local storage a relevant portion of the GUI change data. The controller provides an updated locally-rendered GUI using the relevant portion of GUI change data.
Methods and system for artifically and dynamically limiting the display resolution of an application
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to provide a method and system for automatically applying artificial limits to display resolutions in a computing system to improve performance. Embodiments are described herein that automatically limits the display resolution of an application executing in a discrete graphics processing unit operating from configurations with limited means of data transfer to the system memory. By automatically limiting the resolution in certain detected circumstances, the rate of generated graphics data may be dramatically increased. Another embodiment is also provided which allows for the automatic detection of an application's initialization and pro-actively limiting the user-selectable resolutions in which the output of the application may be displayed in to a maximum resolution calculated for optimal performance. The application's termination is also detected, whereupon a comprehensive list of supported resolutions becomes available.
Systems and methods for distributed scalable ray processing
Ray tracing systems have computation units (“RACs”) adapted to perform ray tracing operations (e.g. intersection testing). There are multiple RACs. A centralized packet unit controls the allocation and testing of rays by the RACs. This allows RACs to be implemented without Content Addressable Memories (CAMs) which are expensive to implement, but the functionality of CAMs can still be achieved by implemented them in the centralized controller.
SYSTEMS, METHODS AND DEVICES FOR PROVIDING SEQUENCE BASED DISPLAY DRIVERS
A display driver device (210) receives a downloadable “sequence” for dynamically reconfiguring displayed image characteristics in an image system. The display driver device comprises one or more storage devices, for example, memory devices, for storing image data (218) and portions of drive sequences (219) that are downloaded and/or updated in real time depending on various inputs (214).
