Various implementations or examples set forth a method for scanning a three-dimensional (3D) environment. The method includes generating a 3D representation of the 3D environment that includes one or more 3D meshes. The method also includes determining at least a portion of the 3D environment that falls within a current frame captured by the image sensor. The method further includes generating one or more additional 3D meshes representing the at least a portion of the 3D environment and combining the one or more additional 3D meshes with the one or more 3D meshes into an update to the 3D representation of the 3D environment.

The embodiment may include receiving a surface profile of a flexible display device. The embodiment may also include in response to determining the surface profile does not indicate that a flexible display device surface is flat, identifying a viewing direction of a user relative to the surface profile. The embodiment may further include identifying an optimal viewing configuration of the flexible display device. The embodiment may also include presenting the optimal viewing configuration to the user. The embodiment may further include adjusting a display of digital content on a screen of the flexible display device. The embodiment may also include receiving feedback from the user regarding a preferred viewing direction and a preferred configuration of the flexible display device.
