Dismountable stringed musical instrument with splitted fingerboard
A dismountable stringed musical instrument with a splittable fingerboard and an acoustic sound is disclosed having a hollow body composed by two parts shaped as half empty shell that meets each other on their outer perimeter, defining a sound chamber. The fingerboard is splitted in two parts that can be re-assembled by a rigid inner core which works as a reinforcement and as a trail to allows the fingerboard cutted portions to slide on it meeting each other perfectly and by a latch toggle clamp which hold the two parts strictly merged together, taking back the fingerboard to its original playable smoothness. The neck can be dismounted to from the body and then re-assembled in the playing position also adjusting its inclination at will by movable elements placed on the neck extremity which faces the top portion of the body support area.
Travel guitar
A travel guitar having a neck and/or body that may assume a reduced profile configured to house or otherwise receive or coupled to a tablet computer (e.g. iPad by Apple, Inc.) and/or a smart phone (e.g. iPhone by Apple, Inc.) having one or more applications (apps) for driving the operation, functionality and/or effects associated with the travel guitar, and a string assembly capable of retracting or otherwise housing the strings to enable or facilitate configuring the travel guitar into a reduced profile.
Space Efficient Stand-Up Stringed Instrument
A space efficient stand-up double bass is discussed herein may be directed to an instrument that provides for a compact size format while still enabling a stringed instrument capable of delivering low-end bass notes. The compact bass includes a narrow body (along a y-axis) as compared to a conventional double-bass. The narrow body provides for a more lightweight double bass that is better suited for transport and travel. Further, the narrow body improves the novel narrow body's ability to amplify the sounds of the double bass because conventional width double causes problematic amplified feedback through an electronic transducer such as a pickup system or microphone. The narrow-bodied double bass does not exhibit this same feedback issue.

Hinge assembly for stringed musical instrument
A hinge assembly having reinforced abutment surfaces for use in a neck of a foldable fretted instrument. Multiple strike plates are mounted to the hinge assembly, which are made from stronger and more robust materials than the underlying hinge such that the strike plates bear the loads (vs. the underlying hinge material) to prevent deformation of the hinge components during use over time. An elongated locking strut is dimensioned to be slidably advanced into the hinge assembly to selectively lock and unlock the neck of the foldable fretted instrument.

Retractable stringed instrument
The present invention includes a retractable stringed musical instrument; specifically a stringed musical instrument having a tailpiece, a body coupled to the tailpiece, a neck coupled to the body and a fingerboard coupled to the neck. The fingerboard and the neck extends and retracts relative to the body. The retractable stringed instrument further comprises a mechanism to maintain tension on the strings of the instrument regardless if the neck is in the extended or retracted position.
Modular neck and headstock for stringed instruments
Modular stringed instruments are discussed herein. The modular stringed instruments allow users to more efficiently transport the stringed instrument, replace broken parts, or personalize or customize the stringed instrument. They include a bracket, a neck, and a headstock. The neck and the headstock are separate pieces which are adjoined together, such as by the bracket and a connector bolt, and can be separated from each other when it is desirous or necessary to do so. The bracket opposes or resists forces caused by the strings of the stringed instrument when the strings are placed under tension and extend from a body, such as from a bridge of the body, to the headstock.

Guitar Neck Joint
A neck joint for an electric guitar, comprising an elongated protrusion with rounded corners fitting into a similar-shaped pocket with similarly rounded corners, which creates a strong enough connection between the neck and the body that the neck no longer requires a heel, improving the range of the guitar and the sound of the instrument.
