ACOUSTICAL MUSICAL DEVICES
A drum includes a low volume drum head, a pellet chamber, and a magnetic choke. The pellet chamber is located beneath the low volume drum head. The pellet chamber is configured to hold a plurality of pellets, and the pellet chamber defines a plurality of apertures in a wall of the pellet chamber. The magnetic choke carries at least one magnet. The magnetic choke is configured to move relative to the pellet chamber so as to adjust a magnetic force imparted on the pellet chamber.
Percussion instrument and method for detecting an attack position of a percussion instrument
A percussion instrument, in particular electronic percussion instrument, includes at least one main attack element having at least one main attack surface and with a position detecting unit which is at least provided to detect an attack position of the main attack surface. The position detecting unit comprises at least two position detecting elements which are arranged decentrally with respect to the main attack surface, at least when the main attack surface is viewed perpendicularly.

Flexible shaker percussion instrument
A percussion instrument configured as a shaker that is struck or shaken to produce a rattle or shaking sound. The shaker is a flexible, multi-chambered idiophone that can be struck or shaken at any angle or shaped into any number of configurations in order to generate a wide variety of sound characteristics. Furthermore, the flexibility of the shaker enables the instrument to be secured to a multi-purpose mounting bracket, which can then be attached to commonly available stands and arms that are used to support and arrange drums and cymbals.

Telescoping, interchangeable, drumstick/shaker
This drumstick is a telescoping, interchangeable, drumstick/shaker; it includes a hollow tube body with removable shaft screw collars on each end; it has smaller tube shaker cartridges with a smaller circumference than the inner tube which allows the user to combine the drumstick with a maraca like sound if they so please. There is also another smaller tube that is attached to the small tail end portion, directly around the different drumstick types that allows the drumsticks to telescope through the entire length of the larger tubes inner circumference which can be used for dispensing, storage, and playing. This allows the end user to freely configure it to his or her own will.
Isolation mount for a percussion instrument
A percussion instrument is adapted with a foam arrangement directly or indirectly in communication with its percussion surface. The foam arrangement reduces acoustic impact sounds when the instrument is struck, helps isolate vibrations from nearby percussion surfaces, and reduces or removes sound generation when air is released from the damper. To achieve these results, directly or indirectly secured to the percussion surface is an open-cell foam layer that is configured with a closed-cell foam layer positioned in a lateral side-by-side arrangement to create a spring and damper system. The open-cell foam may have one or more holes that extend entirely through its body, and inside those, one or more holes are closed-cell foam to provide additional spring-like functionality. The side-by-side dual-layer arrangement enables the closed- and open-cell foam layers to operate in tandem—the closed-cell layer operates as a spring, and the open-cell layer operates as a damper.
Acoustic Valve Porting Element
An acoustic variable porting system includes an acoustic element and an acoustic variable porting element forming a port into the acoustic element. The acoustic variable porting element is adjustable between at least an open position, in which the port is generally open, and a closed position, in which the port is generally closed. The acoustic element may be at least one of: a sub-kick, a ported drum, and a speaker.
DRUMHEAD, PERCUSSION INSTRUMENT AND TENSION APPLICATION METHOD
A frame body fixed to a membrane 10 is divided into multiple long-side frame bodies 11 and a short-side frame body aligned in a peripheral direction of a frame 3. Tension is applied to the frame body 10 by pulling each frame body 11, 12. Accordingly, it is not necessary to make the shape of each frame body 11, 12 consistent with the frame 3 (support part 30) in a complicated polygonal shape, and the shape of each frame body 11, 12 can be formed as a linear shape. Therefore, the shape of each frame body 11, 12 hardly varies. In addition, even if the shape of each frame body 11, 12 varies, tension can be uniformly applied to the membrane 10, as it is configured that each frame body 11, 12 is pulled to apply tension to the membrane 10.
Cymbal attachment and hi-hat stand
A cymbal attachment includes an attachment body having a fixing hole to which a rod is fixed and a stopper assembly adapted to be mounted onto the attachment body. The stopper assembly includes a stopper holder and a stopper slider, which is accommodated in the stopper holder. The stopper slider has a round hole and a continuous hole, which is located above the round hole. An engagement surface by which the stopper slider is engaged with the attachment body is arranged in both the attachment body and the stopper slider.
