A drumstick is provided. The drumstick comprises a shaft. A plurality of sound initiating elements are disposed along the shaft. The sound initiating elements are adapted for initiating generation of sound associated with simultaneously activating a plurality of percussion surfaces of a percussion music instrument.

A plurality of base blocks may be constructed based on desired output in various shapes and structures. The base blocks are coupled together with connecting elements and fixing pins, which also assist in coupling the sounding elements. Additional plates are also utilized for creating dynamic sounds and structures, including D-shaped plates and U-shaped plates. Constructor set modules may utilize all such elements in a plurality of structures, or at minimum, only base blocks, connecting elements, a sounding element, and fixing pins.

The shaker is a flexible, multi-chambered idiophone that can be struck or shaken at any angle or shaped into any number of configurations in order to generate a wide variety of sound characteristics. Furthermore, the flexibility of the shaker enables the instrument to be secured to a multi-purpose mounting bracket, which can then be attached to commonly available stands and arms that are used to support and arrange drums and cymbals.

A practice musical instrument configured to mimic implement rebound produced when playing a conventional version of the musical instrument can include a plurality of spaced-apart, rectangular keys. At least two of the keys can have a different length. A strike pad can be attached to a top surface of each key. Each strike pad can be formed of rubber. Each strike pad can be sized to the key to which it is attached. Hitting one of the strike pads with an implement can produce a rebound of the implement that mimics a rebound of the implement when hitting a corresponding key of the conventional version of the instrument. Hitting one of the strike pads with the implement produces a sound that is quieter than when the implement hits a corresponding key of the conventional version of the instrument.

A kit for attaching one or more interchangeable accessories, for example, sound makers, fashion accessories, utility accessories, instrument accessories, etc., to an instrument, for example, a drum stick, a drum head, a post of a bass drum pedal or a hihat, a cajón, a microphone, a guitar, a stand, etc., to enhance sound, functionality, and visual elements of the instrument is provided. The kit includes one or more interchangeable accessories and at least one attachment system. The attachment system includes an attachment member and a connector element. The attachment member, for example, a clamp assembly with an accessory housing and a release assembly, or a generally cylindrical attachment member, or a cap member is removably attachable to a predetermined location of the instrument. The connector element is a female connector or a male connector for engageably connecting the attachment member to an opposing connector of one of the interchangeable accessories.

A folding marimba may include a plurality of rails, a plurality of natural bars suspended from some of the rails, and a plurality of accidental bars suspended from some of the rails. In some embodiments, the rails may be mounted to resonator panels. The rails and/or the resonator panels may be configured for hinged rotation such that the marimba is configurable in an unfolded position having a first length and a folded position having a second length that is less than the first length. For example, the second length may be about half of the first length.
