Outdoor mushroom instruments

The present disclosure relates to outdoor musical instruments configured to replicate the appearance of a mushroom and to withstand prolonged exposure to the environment. The musical instrument is made up of at least a metal dish mounted to a weather-resistant support post. The metal dish is mounted to the top of the support post, and the bottom surface of the metal dish is separated from the top end of the support post by a non-metal isolator. The musical instrument is configured to produce a note that sustains when the top surface of the metal dish is struck by a mallet.

Suspension system for a drum
11640814 · 2023-05-02 · ·

A suspension system for a drum includes upper and lower suspension structures defining a pair of mounting holes including an upper and a lower mounting hole. A vibration isolation member is received in each mounting hole of the pair. When the suspension system is mounted to the drum via the pair of mounting holes and an associated vibration isolation members receives an associated tensioning rod at a support location, one of the vibration isolation members engages a downwardly facing surface of the upper drum hoop and the other vibration isolation member engages a downwardly facing surface of a lower lug to support weight of the drum upwardly. The suspension system prevents a moment force on the drum when the drum is oriented in a horizontal or angled position due to the support locations being oriented to be balanced with respect to a center of gravity of the drum.

Tri-Column Airlift Bass Stand

A percussion instrument stand includes a plurality of support columns. Each support column is associated with a respective support leg that supports the support column off of a standing surface. The percussion instrument stand also includes an instrument mount configured to support a percussion instrument thereon so as to be vertically supported by one or more of the support columns. At least one coupler is provided so as to engage each of the support columns and thereby resist a horizontal torque exerted on the percussion instrument.

ACOUSTIC CYMBAL SHIELD FOR MUSICAL PERFORMANCE
20220399002 · 2022-12-15 ·

An acoustic shield system is described that is suitable for musical performances. In one example, a side wall is configured to surround a portion of an edge of a cymbal opposite a percussionist to reflect sound back toward the cymbal and toward the percussionist. The side wall has a top edge above the cymbal and a bottom edge below the cymbal. A substantially flat top plate is attached to the top edge of the side wall and extends from the side wall over and across the center of the cymbal. A substantially flat bottom plate is attached to the bottom edge of the side wall and extends from the side wall under and across the center of the cymbal. The bottom plate is parallel to the top plate. The bottom plate and the top plate are spaced to accommodate regular movement of the cymbal when struck.

Holder System For A Drum
20230343309 · 2023-10-26 ·

A holder system for a drum includes a body, holding structure within the body defining an adjustable opening, a fastener threadedly received in the body and engageable with the holding structure, a holding rod received in the opening such as to be able to be moved linearly and to rotate with respect to the body. Clamping structure has a portion disposed within the body and is associated with the holding structure. A shaft is received by the clamping structure such that the shaft can rotate about an axis thereof and rotate with respect to the body. When the fastener moved to engage the holding structure, the opening reduces in size and thus causes the holding structure to prevent any movement of the holding rod and, substantially simultaneously, a portion of the holding structure engages a part of the clamping structure causing the clamping structure to prevent any movement of the shaft.

Stand adjustment device

A stand adjustment device has a tripod-connecting member, a connecting seat, two clamping plates, a boom-connecting tube, a locking shaft, and a manual operating member. The connecting seat is rotatably located around the tripod-connecting member. The two clamping plates are detachably attached to two opposite sides of the connecting seat respectively. One end of the locking shaft is movably disposed in the boom-connecting tube. The boom is slidably mounted through the boom-connecting tube and the locking shaft. The locking shaft is slidably mounted through the boom-connecting tube, the two clamping plates, and the connecting seat such that the boom-connecting tube is rotatable relative to the connecting seat. The manual operating member and the locking shaft are configured to clamp the boom-connecting tube, the two clamping plates, and the connecting seat therebetween into a locked condition.
