STEP SEQUENCER FOR A VIRTUAL INSTRUMENT
A method of operating a UI for controlling a virtual musical instrument implemented can include receiving an input corresponding to a selection of a cell within a particular array of cells arranged in a sequential arrangement within a cell matrix, each array of the cell matrix assigned to MIDI notes associated with audio sample data stored in a computer-readable medium that, when triggered, causes the audio sample data to output corresponding audio, and each cell within its particular array of the cell matrix, in response to being selected for playback and upon being triggered to begin playback, causes the audio sample data corresponding to the cell's particular array to be played. The method further includes determining that the input's duration is above a threshold time and expanding a size of an array containing the selected cell and adjusting the adjustable parameter of the selected cell based on the input.
Electronic Musical Instrument with Device
The invention pertains to devices utilized by artists that produce musical sounds and aesthetic lights, including lights that correspond to the sounds. More specifically, the invention pertains to a modular system comprising modules of a play device, such as a smart phone, a fingerboard comprising a keyboard and lights corresponding to the keys and a docking station for mounting and joining the play device and fingerboard together. Using music and light control application software loaded on the play device and the keys of the fingerboard, the play device and fingerboard exchange and communicate sound and light information and instructions with each other. The play device plays sounds and the fingerboard displays lights.
SOUND SOURCE, KEYBOARD MUSICAL INSTRUMENT, AND METHOD FOR GENERATING SOUND SIGNAL
A sound source includes: a processor that implements instructions to execute a plurality of tasks, including: a first calculating task that calculates a first estimated value based on a detection result yielded by a detecting device that detects passage of a key through a first, a second, and a third positions, the first estimated value pertaining to behavior of the key at a predetermined position; a second calculating task that calculates a second estimated value based on the result, the second estimated value pertaining to behavior of the key at a fourth position; a signal generating task that generates a first and a second sound signals; a first adjusting task that adjusts an output level of the first sound signal based on the first estimated value; and a second adjusting task that adjusts an output level of the second sound signal based on the second estimated value.
Multi-sensory literacy acquisition method and system
The present invention discloses a system comprising a method and apparatus that integrates learning across interchangeable, multiple literacies and provides a means for increasing simultaneous literacy acquisition density. Information acquired through multiple senses results in more information acquired faster and with longer retention possible. The system presents information selectively through one or more sensory pathways, then interprets behavioral responses to this information, analyzing the responses qualitatively and quantitatively. Tracked and stored data is applied over various learning environments to develop individual learner profiles. In this way, the specific sensory pathways that an individual learner responds to can be optimized and specifically tailored for enhanced learning performance.
Performance assistance apparatus and method
A performance assistance apparatus includes a sound generator circuit and a processor. In response to detection of a sound generation timing, the processor determines whether or not the sound indicated by the user performance information matches the sound designated by the model performance information in association with the sound generation timing. Based on determination that the sound indicated by the user performance information does not match the sound designated by the model performance information, the processor causes the sound generator to audibly generate an assist sound relating to the sound designated by the model performance information.
SMART PIANO SYSTEM
Systems and methods for providing a piano system are provided. In some embodiments, the methods include receiving a plurality of key signals related to a first performance of a piece of music, wherein each of the plurality of key signals corresponds to motion of at least one key of a piano during the first performance; generating first performance information based on the plurality of key signals; receiving musical data related to a second performance of the piece of music; receiving musical data related to a second performance of the piece of music, generating second performance information based on the musical data; and providing content for presentation on a display device based on the first performance information and the second performance information. The methods can also include receiving at least one pedal signal corresponding to motion of a pedal of the piano during the first performance, and generating first performance information based on the pedal signal.
Systems and methods for calibrating a musical device
The present disclosure relates to a method and system for calibrating a musical device. In some embodiments, a method for calibrating a musical device includes: energizing an actuator to actuate a key using a force corresponding to a first intensity level; obtaining, from a sensor, a first sensor signal representing motion information of the key corresponding to application of the force; and calibrating the musical device based on the first sensor signal.
Electronic musical instrument and lesson processing method for electronic musical instrument
An electronic musical instrument includes a memory storing a musical piece data that includes a first note or chord to be played by the performer at a first timing, a second note or chord to be played by the performer at a second timing, and a third note or chord to be played by the performer at a third timing and a processor that determines a target melodic interval direction from the first note or chord to the second note or chord, and that causes an automatic accompaniment to output from the second timing to a point in time immediately prior to the third timing even if the performer performs a wrong note as the second note as long as a melodic interval direction actually performed by the performer matches the target melodic interval direction.
Systems and methods for recognizing musical instruments and providing blind assistive tuning and orienting of musical instruments
Systems and methods of orienting a vision impaired user with a musical instrument and systems and methods of directing the vision impaired user to tune the musical instrument are disclosed. A method of orienting includes directing the user to play a note on the musical instrument, determining the note and a corresponding location on the musical instrument, the corresponding location being a portion of the musical instrument that generates the note, determining a difference between the corresponding location and a target location, the target location representing at least a portion of a positioning necessary for the user to play the musical instrument, generating one or more non-visual directions based on the difference, and providing the one or more non-visual directions to the user. The one or more non-visual directions direct the user to the target location.
Systems and methods for automatic calibration of musical devices
The present disclosure relates to a method and system for calibrating a musical device. In some embodiments, a method for calibrating a musical device includes: determining a first time corresponding to a first instruction that instructs a driving device to actuate a first component of a musical device using a first force; receiving first sensor data relating to motion information of the first component; determining a second time based on the first sensor data; determining, by a hardware processor, a first time deviation based on the first time and the second time; and calibrating the musical device based on the first time deviation.
