Computing technologies for music editing
11107448 · 2021-08-31 ·

This disclosure discloses various computing technologies that enable a user to insert a personal vocal content into an original song in a quick and simple manner, thereby potentially creating a derivative work of the original song. Additionally, these technologies enable a right holder of the original song to monitor the new derivative work in a granular, reliable, de-centralized, and secure manner.

Non-transitory computer readable medium storing electronic musical instrument program, method for musical sound generation process and electronic musical instrument
11847191 · 2023-12-19 · ·

An electronic musical instrument, method for a musical sound generation process and a non-transitory computer readable medium that stores an electronic musical instrument program are provided. The program causes a computer provided with a storage part to execute a musical sound generation process using sound data. The program causes the computer to execute: acquiring, from the storage part, first sound data and first user identification information indicating a user who has acquired the first sound data from a distribution server; acquiring second user identification information indicating a user who causes the musical sound generation process to be executed using the first sound data; determining whether or not the first user identification information matches the second user identification information; and inhibiting execution of the musical sound generation process using the first sound data in a case when the first user identification information does not match the second user identification information.

Audio output monitoring for failure detection of warning sound playback

Various examples and techniques pertaining to audio output monitoring for failure detection of warning sound playback are described. In one aspect, audio data, which includes a plurality of bits of a first sound sample and one or more control bits for integrity check, is retrieved from a data storage. The audio data is processed by: (i) performing an integrity check on the first sound sample based on the one or more control bits, and (ii) playing back a first sound using the first sound sample. The first sound can be a warning sound in automobile applications.

Systems, devices, and methods for varying musical compositions

Systems, devices, and methods for encoding digital representations of musical compositions are described. Various components of a musical composition that are defined in modern music theory, such as notes and bars, are encoded as respective hierarchically-dependent data objects in a data file. The hierarchically-dependent data objects encode the musical composition in a tree-like data structure with modular nodes and adjustable relationships between nodes. Note start times and beat start times are encoded independently of one another and characterized by a timing relationship that captures the expressiveness imbued when notes and beats are not precisely synchronized. Musical variations that preserve the timing relationship between the notes and beats of the original composition are also generated and encoded.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SEMI-AUTOMATED GUIDED AUDIO PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION

A method for creating a digital audio production. The method includes receiving two or more audio segments, including at least one audio segment that is captured by a sound recording device, receiving user input related to the two or more audio segments, receiving a record plan comprised of a first part that is based on the user input and a second part that is determined automatically based on the user input, and recording the digital audio production from the two or more audio segments based on the record plan.

SIGNAL PROCESSING SYSTEM, SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM

A signal processing system causes a reproduction device to reproduce a time series signal that follows reproduction of a musical piece. The signal processing system includes an electronic controller including at least one processor. The electronic controller is configured to execute a plurality of units including an acquisition unit configured to acquire an indicated position indicated by a user in the reproduction of the musical piece, and a control unit configured to execute time stretching of the time series signal in accordance with the indicated position.

A retrofit cabling kit is suitable for use connecting an organ and a speaker, wherein the organ may be one of a Hammond brand, model B3 or C3 organ and the speaker may be one of a Leslie brand, model 122 or 147 speaker. The kit may include interfaces for attachment to each of the organ and the speaker and cables connecting the interfaces.

Refresh control method for memory system to perform refresh action on all memory banks of the memory system within refresh window
10878879 · 2020-12-29 · ·

A refresh control method for a memory controller of a memory system is provided. The memory controller is connected with a memory. The memory includes plural memory banks. The refresh control method includes the following steps. Firstly, a refresh state of the memory device is read, and thus a refresh window is realized. Then, a refresh command is issued to the memory device according to the refresh state. The refresh command contains a memory bank number field and a memory bank count field. The memory bank count field indicates a first count. The first count of memory banks are selected from the plural memory banks of the memory device according to the memory bank number field and the first count. Moreover, a refresh operation is performed on the first count of memory banks.

SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR HARMONIC STRUCTURE IN DIGITAL REPRESENTATIONS OF MUSIC
20200402488 · 2020-12-24 ·

Systems, devices, and methods for encoding the harmonic structure of a musical composition in a digital data structure are described. Tonal and rhythmic commonalities are identified across the musical bars that make up a musical composition. Individual bars of the musical composition are each analyzed to characterize their respective harmonic fingerprints in various forms, and the respective harmonic fingerprints are compared to sort the musical bars into harmonic equivalence categories. Isomorphic mappings between hierarchical data structures that encode the musical composition based on musicality and harmony, respectively, are also described.

The systems, devices, and methods for encoding the harmonic structure of a musical composition in a digital data structure have broad applicability in computer-based composition and variation of music.
