KEYBOARD SENSOR SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A sensing system for a keyboard. Each key sensor comprises passive and active resonant circuits. The passive resonant circuit has a resonant frequency and the active resonant circuit excites the passive resonant circuit at the resonant frequency. A sensor driver drives the active resonant circuit with an RF drive signal, a multiplexing system multiplexes the drive signal such that simultaneously driven key sensors are separated by at least (k-1) keys, and a detector detects a level of RF signal from a driven key sensor for sensing a position and/or velocity of a key.
KEYBOARD INSTRUMENT
A keyboard instrument includes a key base member, a first member which is disposed on either of a left and a right of the key base member, and a second member which is disposed on the other side of disposing the first member, and a length hb in an up-down direction of a portion of the first member which corresponds to a nearer side of a key differs from a length ha in the up-down direction of a portion of the second member which corresponds to the nearer side of the key.
Improvised guitar simulation
The present disclosure is directed at methods, apparatus and systems for implementing an improvised guitar playing feature on a rhythm-action game. The improvised guitar playing feature allows players to manipulate a guitar controller to produce a pleasing, musical-sounding improvised play even if the players have little experience or skill at improvising music. This feature uses quantized 8.sup.th and 16.sup.th note musical phrases, or “licks”, strung together to form authentic, melodic, and rhythmically musical and impressive guitar lines, regardless of the player's ability. The improvised guitar playing feature can also display cues directing the player to improvise in a certain manner, while still providing players a degree of musical freedom in selecting how to play. In some embodiments, the present disclosure is also directed at scoring mechanisms for evaluating improvised guitar play.
Effector mounting plate
An effector mounting plate is provided, which can protect wiring when carried while enabling work on the wiring. A back surface side of a plate is covered by a back case, and wiring (not shown) can be stored in a space formed between the plate and the back case. Therefore, when the plate and the back case are used as an effect pedal or carried, an external force can be prevented from acting on the wiring. Therefore, the wiring (jack) can be prevented from falling off an effector or from being forcibly bent and broken. By removing fastening screws, the back case can be removed from the plate to open the back surface side of the plate. Therefore, work on the wiring such as work of connecting/disconnecting the wiring to/from the effector and work of checking the wiring before performance can be easily performed.
Multi-touch pad controller
A highly configurable controller is described that includes a number of different types of control mechanisms that emulate a wide variety of conventional control mechanisms using pressure and location sensitive sensors that generate high-density control information which may be mapped to the controls of a wide variety of devices and software.

Signal Generation Method, Signal Generation System, Electronic Musical Instrument, and Recording Medium
A signal generation method implemented by a computer system includes: generating an audio signal in response to a manipulation of each of a first key and a second key; and controlling generation of the audio signal based on a reference point that is a position of the first key at a time point of a manipulation of the second key, based on the second key being manipulated during a manipulation of the first key.
ELECTRONIC KEYBOARD MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
An electronic keyboard musical instrument with a plurality of keys is provided. The electronic keyboard musical instrument comprises a detection sensor configured to detect a gentle key press to an adjacent position that is shallower than and adjacent to a resonant performance position; a computer configured to, when the detection sensor detects a gentle key press to the adjacent position of at least one first key, execute a resonance permission process to give a permission to output a resonant tone of the at least one first key; and a tone emission device configured to, when at least one second key different from the at least one first key and having a resonant relationship with the at least one first key is regularly pressed, emit a regular tone of the at least one second key and the resonant tone of the at least one first key.
Key module trigger element having more than one contact finger each with differing pre-travel paths
What is presented is a key module for a keyboard. The key module comprises a key tappet. The key module also comprises a module housing. The module housing is formed to movably accommodate the key tappet, in order to enable a translational actuation movement of the key tappet between a rest position and in an actuated position relative to the module housing. The key module further comprises a trigger element for triggering an actuation signal of the key module in response to the actuation movement. The trigger element is attached to the key tappet. The trigger element is a contactor for electrically shorting contact pads of a circuit substrate of the keyboard. The trigger element comprises more than two elastically deformable contact fingers for contacting the contact pads after different pre-travel paths in the course of the actuation movement.
Integrated melodic instrument digital interface (MIDI) controller within a laptop chassis
A system and method for a laptop computer chassis that integrates a MIDI controller. The laptop is specifically designed for music producers, and it combines a standard laptop computer with producer hardware into one design. The laptop computer features a standard keyboard and buttons, but replaces the lower portion with a MIDI controller. The system functions together through the use of a DAW, but will also be compatible with other 3.sup.rd party products.
