Drumming fitness system and method
A drumming exercise method and system involves detecting the striking of a surface with a drum stick by a user, and calculating a calorie expenditure of the user based on the detection. The system may be configured as a digital drum machine having drum pads and sensors operatively connected with the drum pads, and a processor that receive signals from the sensors to detect the striking of a surface with a drum stick. Alternatively, the system may be configured as drum sticks that include a sensor and a processor, with the sensor detecting the striking of a surface and the processor transmitting information thereon to calculate an expenditure of calories. Still further, the system may comprise a digital video camera and computer with recognition software, with the camera capturing images of a user performing drumming motions, and the computer detecting the striking via the recognition software.
ELECTRONIC CYMBAL AND BELL PART SENSOR INSTALLATION METHOD
An electronic cymbal and a bell part sensor installation method are provided. The electronic cymbal includes: a disk-shaped frame; a frame bell part which is configured at a center of the frame in a top view; a bell part sensor which is attached onto the frame bell part in a circumferential direction and detects a hit on the frame bell part; and a cover which covers the frame and the bell part sensor and has a surface formed as a hit surface, wherein the bell part sensor is separated in at least a radial direction of the frame bell part.
ELECTRONIC PERCUSSION INSTRUMENT, STROKE DETECTION DEVICE, AND STROKE DETECTION METHOD
An electronic percussion instrument, a stroke detection device, and a stroke detection method which can improve stroke detection accuracy are provided. A thickness dimension (L2) of an upper cover part (5b1) is approximately constant from the inner circumferential side to the outer circumferential side in a region facing the upper surface of an outer circumferential part (4b3) of the frame bow part (4b) (a concave part formed according to a level difference between a bent part (4b2) and the outer circumferential part (4b3)). Accordingly, the entire upper cover part (5b1) is easily deformed such that it is bent when struck, and thus a protrusion part (5b3) can be securely pressed to an edge sensor (7b) according to deformation of the upper cover part (5b1). Therefore, the accuracy of detection of a stroke applied to the upper cover part (5b1) can be improved.
Systems and methods for active crosstalk detection in an electronic percussion instrument
An electronic drum with active crosstalk detection includes a first vibration transducer configured to generate a first signal in response to a strike to the electronic drum, and a second vibration transducer configured to generate a second signal in response to vibrations in a mount coupled to the electronic drum. A circuit compares an amplitude of the first signal and an amplitude of the second signal within a predetermined time, and determines whether the signal was generated by crosstalk or an actual drum hit based on various criteria.
CONTACT TRANSDUCER FOR MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS WITH SOUNDBOARD
Contact transducer for musical instruments with soundboard, comprising: vibrating element, consisting of an air core coil made of enameled copper wire, suitable to be placed in contact with the soundboard of any musical instrument, and able to vibrate according to said soundboard; magnetic field generator, consisting of a permanent magnet, preferably made of neodymium, suitable to transform the vibrations of the vibrating element induced by the soundboard in electric signals, according to the principle of electromagnetic induction; sound-insulating separator made of elastic material, on which the magnetic field generator is fixed, keeping it firmly and close to the vibrating element, and isolating it from the vibrations of the soundboard; electric cable connected to the ends of the copper wire of the vibrating element with at least one connector suitable to transfer the electrical signal generated to at least one sound amplification device.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TRAINING THE MUSCLES AND CONNECTIVE TISSUE IN THE ORAL CAVITY AND THROAT OF A PERSON, PARTICULARLY FOR LONG-TERM AVOIDANCE OF AIRWAY AND SLEEP DISORDERS AND THE CONSEQUENCES THEREOF
A device for training the muscles and connective tissue in the oral cavity and throat of a person, particularly for long-term avoidance of airway and sleep disorders and the consequences thereof, includes a wind instrument and furthermore an apparatus for detecting a sound produced by a person by the wind instrument. The device further includes an apparatus for evaluating the detected sound and an apparatus for outputting a response defined in dependence on a result of the evaluation to the person playing the wind instrument.
Sensor unit and musical instrument
A sensor unit is for attaching to a vibrating body. The sensor unit includes: a sheet sensor that has a sheet shape and flexibility. The sheet sensor converts vibration that acts in a thickness direction of the sheet sensor to a voltage and outputting the voltage. The sensor unit further includes a first sticking member that includes a soft base material and two adhesive layers. The soft base material has a sheet shape and stress conformability. The two adhesive layers are respectively provided on both surfaces of the soft base material. The first sticking member is attached to one surface of the sheet sensor.
Sounding control system and sounding control method
The present invention provides a sounding control system capable of performing high-accuracy crosstalk suppression while reducing the processing load on a sound source device. When a first pad (12) vibrates, the first pad (12) generates sound emission data (62a1) that is information instructing a sound source device (11) to produce a sound and crosstalk cancellation determination data (62a2) that is information used for canceling crosstalk, and sends the data to the sound source device (11). The sound source device (11) determines whether or not crosstalk has occurred and controls sound emission using the information.
