HANDHELD ELECTRONIC MUSICAL PERCUSSION INSTRUMENT
An apparatus, system, and method for an electronic handheld musical instrument that generates electronic signals for processing by a processor-based module to generate musical sounds adapted to replicate non-electronic traditional hand percussion and other handheld instruments, is provided. A piezoelectric-based trigger is secured in an enclosed volume or enclosure formed in the electronic handheld musical instrument. When manipulated by a musician in a normal fashion, freely moving beads float or travel within the enclosure of the electronic handheld musical instrument and strike against a sensitive face of the piezoelectric transducer device to create a desired sound effect.
Stringless bowed musical instrument
Bowing platforms are disclosed for use in playing a bowed musical instrument without reliance on strings. A bowing platform includes a support and a track that replace the strings, bridge, and tailpiece on a conventional bowed instrument, to provide an alternative vibrational bowing surface. The bowing platform can be attached to a conventional fingerboard or to the body of the instrument. In one aspect, the bowing platform is useful as a bow guide to improve bow technique by restricting the player's bow angle to be within a desirable range, while still allowing for natural arm movement. The bowing platform can be further equipped with piezoelectric sensors to sense bowing motion and to create sound electronically in response to the sensed motion. A stringless bowed instrument includes a bowing platform, bowing sensors, and pitch sensors that sense finger placement along the fingerboard.
SOUND PRODUCTION CONTROL APPARATUS, SOUND PRODUCTION CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A sound production control apparatus by which a sound production mode is controlled on the basis of a player's motion even during a non-playing control operation period. An information obtaining unit 30 obtains detection information by detecting a player's motion. A sound processing unit 36 produces sound on the basis of the detection information obtained in response to operation for generating a sound trigger in the player's motion, and controls a sound production mode on the basis of the detection information obtained in response to operation for generating no sound trigger in the player's motion.
Electroacoustic converter film, flexible display, vocal cord microphone, and musical instrument sensor
Provided is an electroacoustic converter film including: a polymeric composite piezoelectric body having piezoelectric particles dispersed in a viscoelastic matrix which is formed of a polymer material exhibiting viscoelasticity at ordinary temperatures; thin film electrodes formed on both sides of the polymeric composite piezoelectric body; and protective layers formed on surfaces of the thin film electrodes. The electroacoustic converter film serves as a speaker capable of being integrated with a flexible display without impairing lightweightness or flexibility, and has considerable frequency dispersion in the storage modulus and also has a local maximum of the loss tangent around ordinary temperatures. A flexible display, a vocal cord microphone and a musical instrument sensor, in each of which the electroacoustic converter film is used, are also provided.
Magnetically secured instrument trigger
An apparatus, system, and method for a magnetically and releaseably attachable trigger for an instrument is provided. The trigger and securing device are disposed on either side of a drumhead or other instrument surface via magnetic force, keeping the instrument surface intact and not deforming the instrument surface. Additionally, the trigger provides for an increased sensitivity of sound by being in direct physical contact with the surface on which it is attached.
ELECTRONIC PERCUSSION MELODY MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
The present invention provides an electronic percussion melody musical instrument, comprising: a key module including a plurality of keys each arranged to receive a knock from the outside, and a plurality of energy conversion units each configured to sense mechanical energy generated by the knocking of the key and convert the mechanical energy into electrical energy in the form of an electrical signal; a storage unit configured to store sound source data associated with the plurality of keys; an output unit configured to output a sound signal corresponding to the sound source data; and a control unit configured to: receive the electrical signal from the energy conversion unit; acquire the sound source data associated with the electrical signal from the storage unit according to the electrical signal; and control e output unit to output the sound signal corresponding to the sound source data.
ELECTROACOUSTIC TRANSDUCTION FILM AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF, ELECTROACOUSTIC TRANSDUCER, FLEXIBLE DISPLAY, VOCAL CORD MICROPHONE, SENSOR FOR MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
Provided are an electroacoustic transduction film capable of reproducing a sound with a sufficient sound volume at a high conversion efficiency, a manufacturing method thereof, an electroacoustic transducer, a flexible display, a vocal cord microphone, and a sensor for a musical instrument. The electroacoustic transduction film includes: a polymer composite piezoelectric body in which piezoelectric body particles are dispersed in a viscoelastic matrix formed of a polymer material having viscoelasticity at a normal temperature; two thin film electrodes laminated on both surfaces of the polymer composite piezoelectric body; and two protective layers respectively laminated on the two thin film electrodes, in which an intensity ratio α.sub.1=(002) plane peak intensity/((002) plane peak intensity+(200) plane peak intensity) between a (002) plane peak intensity and a (200) plane peak intensity derived from the piezoelectric body particles in a case where the polymer composite piezoelectric body is evaluated by an X-ray diffraction method is more than or equal to 0.6 and less than 1.
