METHODS AND APPARATUS TO EXTRACT A PITCH-INDEPENDENT TIMBRE ATTRIBUTE FROM A MEDIA SIGNAL
Methods and apparatus to classify media based on a pitch-independent timbre attribute from a media signal are disclosed. An example apparatus includes means for accessing a media signal; and means for: determining a spectrum of audio corresponding to the media signal; and determining a timbre-independent pitch attribute of audio of the media signal based on an inverse transform of a complex argument of a transform of the spectrum.
Method and system for determining and providing sensory experiences
A method including: receiving a music input; determining values of musical parameters based on the input; generating a spatial representation of the music input based on the values; and at a plurality of haptic actuators defining a spatial distribution, cooperatively producing a haptic output based on the spatial representation. A method including: mechanically coupling haptic actuators defining a multidimensional array to a user; receiving a music input; generating a spatial representation of the music input defined on a multidimensional space, wherein the multidimensional space and the multidimensional array have equal dimensionality; and, for each haptic actuator: based on the haptic actuator location within the multidimensional array, determining a corresponding location within the multidimensional space; based on a value of the spatial representation associated with the corresponding location, determining an actuation intensity; and controlling the haptic actuator to actuate based on the actuation intensity.
Mixing complex multimedia data using tempo mapping tools
The teachings described herein are generally directed to a system, method, and apparatus for separating and mixing tracks within music. The system can have a video that is synchronized with the variations in the musical tempo through a variable timing reference track designed and provided for a user of the preselected performance that was prerecorded, wherein the designing of the variable timing reference track includes creating a tempo map having variable tempos, rhythms, and beats using notes from the preselected performance.
A Method Of Combining Data
A method of combining data, the method comprising: receiving video data, the video data corresponding to recorded video having a video duration determined by a user; selecting backing audio data, the backing audio data corresponding to backing audio having a predetermined duration; determining a difference between the predetermined duration and the video duration; and modifying the backing audio data by adjusting the predetermined duration based on the video duration to create an adjusted predetermined duration, the adjusted predetermined duration being such that the backing audio and recorded video may be simultaneously output in synchronisation.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK
It is disclosed a method comprising obtaining a target spectrum, obtaining a set of non-target spectra, the set of non-target spectra comprising one or more non-target spectra, summing the target spectrum and the set of non-target spectra to obtain a mixture spectrum, and training an artificial neural network by using the mixture spectrum as input of the neural network and by using a spectrum which is based on the target spectrum as desired output of the artificial neural network.
Method, apparatus and system
A method including decomposing a magnitude part of a signal spectrum of a mixture signal into spectral components, each spectral component including a frequency part and a time activation part; and clustering the spectral components to obtain one or more clusters of spectral components, wherein the clustering of the spectral components is computed in the time domain.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CORRECTING DELAY BETWEEN ACCOMPANIMENT AUDIO AND UNACCOMPANIED AUDIO, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A method and apparatus for correcting a delay between accompaniment audio and unaccompanied audio, and a storage medium are provided. The method includes: acquiring original audio of a target song, and extracting original vocal audio from the original audio; determining a first delay between the original vocal audio and the unaccompanied audio, and determining a second delay between the accompaniment audio and the original audio; and correcting a delay between the accompaniment audio and the unaccompanied audio based on the first delay and the second delay. Thus, the correction efficiency of the delay between accompaniment audio and unaccompanied audio is improved, and correction mistakes possibly caused by human factors are eliminated, thereby improving the accuracy.
Methods and apparatus to extract a pitch-independent timbre attribute from a media signal
Methods and apparatus to classify media based on a pitch-independent timbre attribute from a media signal are disclosed. An example apparatus includes an interface to access a media signal; and an audio characteristic extractor to determine a spectrum of audio corresponding to the media signal; and determine a timbre-independent pitch attribute of the audio based on an inverse transform of a complex argument of a transform of the spectrum.
Musical piece development analysis device, musical piece development analysis method and musical piece development analysis program
A music piece development analyzer includes: a comparison target sound detector configured to detect a sound production position of a comparison target sound in a form of a sound of a predetermined musical instrument from music piece data; a sound production pattern comparing unit configured to set at least two comparison sections each having a predetermined length in the music piece data, compare the at least two comparison sections in terms of a sound production pattern of the comparison target sound, and detect a similarity degree of the sound production pattern between the at least two comparison sections, and a development change-point determining unit configured to determine a development change-point of the music piece data based on the similarity degree.
RESONANCE SOUND SIGNAL GENERATION DEVICE, RESONANCE SOUND SIGNAL GENERATION METHOD, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM STORING RESONANCE SOUND SIGNAL GENERATION PROGRAM AND ELECTRONIC MUSICAL APPARATUS
A resonance sound signal generation device comprises a designation receiver that receives designation of a pitch, a sound signal instructor that provides an instruction for generating a sound signal corresponding to the designated pitch, a producer that produces a resonance sound signal representing a resonance sound based on a plurality of pitches, a determiner that determines whether another pitch is designated at a time of designation of one pitch, and a resonance sound instructor that instructs the producer to produce a resonance sound signal of the one pitch and a resonance sound signal of the another pitch based on the one pitch and the another pitch when determination is made that the another pitch is designated at the time of designation of the one pitch, and does not instruct the producer to produce resonance sound signals when determination is made that the another pitch is not designated at the time of designation of the one pitch.
