Each digital piece of composed and generated music contains a set of musical notes arranged and performed in the digital piece of music. The engine includes: a digital piece creation subsystem and a digital audio sample producing subsystem supported by virtual musical instrument libraries.

An automated music composition and generation system for automatically composing and generating digital pieces of music using an automated music composition and generation engine driven by a set of emotion-type and style-type musical experience descriptors and time and/or space parameters provided by a system user. The automated music composition and generation engine includes an instrument subsystem supporting a library of virtual instruments, wherein each virtual instrument is capable of performing one or more notes of at least a portion of the composed piece of music, in response to the emotion-type and/or style-type musical experience descriptors; an instrument selector subsystem for automatically selecting one or more of virtual instruments from the library, so that each selected virtual instrument performs one or more notes of at least a portion of the composed piece of music; and a digital piece creation subsystem for creating the digital piece of composed music by assembling the notes produced from the virtual instruments selected from the library.

Disclosed herein is a method for facilitating creating of music in real time by multiple users, in accordance with some embodiments. Accordingly, the method comprises receiving first music segment selections from a first user device, receiving second music segment selections from a second user device, transmitting the first music segment selections to the second user device, and transmitting the second music segment selections to the first user device. Further, each of the first user device and the second user device is configured for retrieving the first music segments, retrieving the second music segments, determining a universal time, synchronizing the second music segments with the first music segments to a common musical beat based on the universal time, mixing the second music segments with the first music segments based on the synchronizing, and generating a mixed music comprising the first music segments and the second music segments based on the mixing.

Systems, devices, and methods for encoding the harmonic structure of a musical composition in a digital data structure are described. Tonal and rhythmic commonalities are identified across the musical bars that make up a musical composition. Individual bars of the musical composition are each analyzed to characterize their respective harmonic fingerprints in various forms, and the respective harmonic fingerprints are compared to sort the musical bars into harmonic equivalence categories. Isomorphic mappings between hierarchical data structures that encode the musical composition based on musicality and harmony, respectively, are also described.

The systems, devices, and methods for encoding the harmonic structure of a musical composition in a digital data structure have broad applicability in computer-based composition and variation of music.

The terminal may generate respective rhyming lyrics corresponding to the images. The terminal may convert the respective rhyming lyrics corresponding to the images into a speech. The terminal may synthesize the speech with preset background music to obtain image music.
