Apparatus, systems, and methods for music generation
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus, system, and method that allow non-musicians to compose and perform a musical composition. Although some existing electronic devices can provide a virtual environment to compose and play musical sound digitally, manipulating such a virtual environment can be difficult and may require specific software expertise, as well as knowledge of music theory. The present disclosure provides a platform that facilitates the creation of a musical composition without such software expertise or knowledge of music theory. The platform models a musical composition as a simultaneous playback of one or more musical contents. The platform allows players to control or modify one or more of the plurality of musical contents to generate or synthesize a musical composition.
Beat player musical instrument
A musical instrument operable to play a multi-component percussive beat. The musical instrument includes a plurality of finger controllers, wherein each finger controller is operable to control a component part of the multi-component percussive beat. Each of the plurality of finger controllers has a touch-sensitive range providing a plurality of actuation regions, and each actuation region is operable to play a hit pattern associated with a component percussion track representing a respective component of the multi-component percussive beat.
Music customization user interface
Computing devices and methods for providing a music customization graphical user interface (GUI) to a user computing device are disclosed. The music customization GUI comprises song name selectors that each correspond to a different song and a music player region that includes a song customization selector. A customization window comprises music stem indicators that each correspond to at least one music stem of a selected song. The customization window also comprises mixing buttons that include a first mixing button configured to add a corresponding music stem to a user song mix, and a second mixing button configured to remove the music stem from the user song mix. A download button is configured to download a file comprising the user song mix to a user computing device.
Systems and methods for the creation and playback of animated, interpretive, musical notation and audio synchronized with the recorded performance of an original artist
A music application guides a user with some musical experience through the steps of creating and editing a musical enhancement file that enhances and plays in synchronicity with an audio signal of an original artist's recorded performance. This enables others, perhaps with lesser musical ability than the original artist, to play-along with the original artist by following melodic, chordal, rhythmic, and verbal prompts. The music application accounts for differences in the timing of the performance from a standard tempo by guiding the user through the process of creating a tempo map for the performance and by associating the tempo map with MIDI information of the enhancement file. Enhancements may contain MIDI information, audio signal information, and/or video signal information which may be played back in synchronicity with the recorded performance to provide an aural and visual aid to others playing-along who may have less musical experience.
User interfaces for virtual instruments
Embodiments of the present disclosure can provide systems, methods, and computer-readable medium for implementing user interfaces for interacting with a virtual instrument. For example, first touch input indicating a string location of a plurality of string locations within the note selection area. Audio output corresponding to the sting location may be presented on a speaker based at least in part on the first touch input. Second touch input corresponding to an ornamental interface element of the user interface may be received. In response to the first and second touch input, a series of two or more audio outputs may be presented on the speaker according to a predetermined pattern.
ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROL FEATURES FOR HOSTED SESSIONS
Techniques described herein enable administrative control features for hosted game applications. A user with appropriate credentials can override an administrator of a game application to control and view all aspects of a game session from a companion application operating on a remote computing device. The techniques disclosed herein enable a remote user with appropriate credentials to control and modify aspects of a game application or a game session. The features can include, but are not limited to, the ability to shape a 3D virtual environment, add players, remove players, modify possessions of players, call players to a beacon, modify attributes of an environment, locate items, and listen to player communication.
SEPARATE ISOLATED AND RESONANCE SAMPLES FOR A VIRTUAL INSTRUMENT
A virtual instrument can manage separate static and dynamic samples for various notes that can be played by the virtual instrument. In some cases, the static samples correspond to resonance sounds recorded for an instrument and are the same for every note. However, the dynamic samples may correspond to isolated sounds that are recorded for each variation of a note that can be played. In response to a user's selection of a note on a user interface of the virtual instrument, the virtual instrument may determine a rule for layering the various static and dynamic samples for playback.
Systems and methods for displaying graphics about a control wheel's center
A DJ media player is provided. The DJ media player has a control wheel used to control audio playback and a customizable first electronic display located about the center of the platter for displaying a graphic. The DJ media player has a second electronic display to show audio playback information. The graphic is dynamically updated. The graphic corresponds to at least one of a logo, an artist, an album, a song playback information, or a selection made by a user.
