The information providing method includes: sequentially identifying a performance speed at which a user performs a piece of music; identifying, in the piece of music, a performance position that is performed by the user; setting an adjustment amount in accordance with a temporal variation in the identified performance speed; and providing the user with music information corresponding to a time point that is later, by the adjustment amount, than a time point that corresponds to the performance position identified in the piece of music.

A method for generating visual enhancement of areas of interest in images includes receiving data representing a plurality of images in a sequence of images; analyzing the plurality images to identify respective three dimensional (3D) locations of one or more areas of interest in the plurality of images; visually enhancing the one or more of the identified areas of interest in the plurality of the images in the sequence of images; and communicating the visually enhanced image data to a display device to be displayed.

Each media file is mapped to at least one contextual theme defined by beginning and end timings. A processing system couples to the database; and an input couples to the processing system. The input is in the form of temporally-varying events data. The processing system resolves the input into one or more categorized contextual themes, correlates the themes with metadata associated with selected media files relevant to the themes, and then splices or fades together selected media files to reflect the events as the input varies with time, thus generating as an output, a media product in which transitions between media are aligned with the temporally-varying events. The database may contain sections of digital media files. A method aligns sections in digital media files with temporally-varying events data to compose a media product.

A system for audibly conveying financial information using a computerized system. The system receives financial information includes a variable parameter which varies over a time period. The at least one processor associates the received financial data with a musical instrument. It also determines, for a plurality of values of the variable parameter during a time period, a plurality of musical notes based on the values of the variable parameter, and generates audio data associated with the plurality of musical notes corresponding to the changes in the variable parameter. When the processor determines whether any of the plurality of generated musical notes for the associated musical instrument are at the highest or lowest range, and automatically readjust the tonal range of the musical notes or changes the associated musical instrument. The system-generated audio data is audibly reproduced in musical notes of the associated musical instrument.

An acoustic device for mixing at least two music pieces including first and second music pieces is provided, the acoustic device including: a detector for detecting tempos of the first and second music pieces each including a plurality of parts including a first part; and a playback controller for gradually changing a tempo of the first part of the first music piece or the second music piece and synchronizing the tempo of the first part of the first music piece and the tempo of the first part of the second music piece at a mixing start time or after an elapse of a predetermined time from the mixing start time.

Techniques are described for generating music data for accompaniment using machine learning (ML) techniques. In an implementation, MIDI-formatted music data is tokenized as a music token sequence. Based on the input music token sequence of a portion of an original music signal, a trained ML model generates an output music token sequence for a portion of a generated music signal. Such a portion of the generated music signal is temporally ahead of the portion of the original music signal, which was used to generate the portion of the generated music signal.

A method in an electronic device includes detecting, by one or more processors of the electronic device, an operating context of the electronic device. The method then alters, by the one or more processors, one or more of a source file of an audio alert or a playback characteristic of the audio alert as a function of the operating context. The altering can eliminate a mismatch between the audible alert and audio content being delivered by an audio output that the audible alert interrupts. The audio output of the electronic device then delivers the audio alert in response to detecting an audio output triggering event.

A music data processing method includes estimating a performance position within a musical piece, and updating a tempo designated by music data representing a performance content of the musical piece such that a tempo trajectory corresponds to a transition in a degree of dispersion of a performance tempo, which is generated as a result of estimating the performance position with respect to a plurality of performances of the musical piece, and the transition in the degree of dispersion of a reference tempo. The performance tempo is preferentially reflected in a portion of the musical piece in which the degree of dispersion of the performance tempo falls below the degree of dispersion of the reference tempo, and the reference tempo is preferentially reflected in a portion of the musical piece in which the degree of dispersion of the performance tempo exceeds the degree of dispersion of the reference tempo.

An example media system for automatically generating media previews for a particular artist include a trailer generation application configured to receive input specifying an artist and duration of a trailer, automatically select clips from two or more media items by the artist, and automatically arrange and combine the clips into a media trailer for later playback.
