Speech characteristic recognition and conversion
Systems, devices, media, and methods are presented for converting sounds in an audio stream. The systems and methods receive an audio conversion request initiating conversion of one or more sound characteristics of an audio stream from a first state to a second state. The systems and methods access an audio conversion model associated with an audio signature for the second state. The audio stream is converted based on the audio conversion model and an audio construct is compiled from the converted audio stream and a base audio segment. The compiled audio construct is presented at a client device.
Piano system and method thereof
The present disclosure relates to a method and system for providing tutorial functions. The method may include obtaining a piece of music selected by a user; determining a display mode that configures one or more display categories and a layout of the one or more display categories on a user interface; obtaining one or more content items corresponding to the one or more display categories, respectively, the one or more content items being associated with the piece of music; and generating an instruction to display the one or more content items on the user interface according to the layout.
Piezoresistive sensors and applications
A highly configurable controller is described that includes a number of different types of control mechanisms that emulate a wide variety of conventional control mechanisms using pressure and location sensitive sensors that generate high-density control information which may be mapped to the controls of a wide variety of devices and software.
Ergonomic electronic musical instrument with pseudo-strings
An ergonomic, portable, electronic, string-like instrument that utilizes a string-like interface. The string-like interface is tactile for sightless playability and capable of advanced input such as force and pressure sensitivity. The string-like interface functions to select a note, trigger a selected note, select and play a note on the instrument or an external peripheral. The instrument is played using the techniques of multiple stringed instruments and the ergonomics allow the user to hold and handle the device consistent with playing techniques familiar to musicians of multiple instruments. It is internally or externally powered and connects directly to industry-standard musical hardware such as MIDI devices, amplifiers and multi-track recorders.
Systems and methods for multi-pressure interaction on touch-sensitive surfaces
Systems and methods for multi-pressure interaction on touch-sensitive surfaces are disclosed. One disclosed embodiment of a method comprises receiving a first sensor signal from a touch-sensitive input device in response to a first contact of a first object on the touch-sensitive input device, the first sensor signal comprising a first location and a first pressure of the first contact, receiving a second sensor signal from the touch-sensitive input device in response to a second contact of a second object on the touch-sensitive input device substantially simultaneously with the first contact, the second sensor signal comprising a second location of the second contact and a second pressure of the second contact, generating a signal based at least in part on the first sensor signal and the second sensor signal, the signal configured to cause a haptic effect, and outputting the signal.
TACTILE TOUCH SENSOR SYSTEM AND METHOD
A tactile touch sensor (TTS) system and method allowing physical augmentation of a high-resolution touch sensor array (TSA) is disclosed. Physical augmentation is accomplished using a TSA physical overlay (TPO) placed on top of the TSA. The TPO is constructed to transmit forces to the underlying TSA. Force transmission is accomplished by either using a flexible overlay or with a rigid mechanical overlay that transmits user forces exerted on the overlay to the underlying TSA. Incorporation of TPO identifiers (TPI) within the TPO permits identification of the TPO by a TPO detector (TPD) allowing operational characteristics of the TSA to be automatically reconfigured to conform to the currently applied TPO structure by a user computing device (UCD). The UCD may be configured to automatically load an appropriate application software driver (ASD) in response to a TPI read by the TPD from the currently applied TPO.
STEP SEQUENCER FOR A VIRTUAL INSTRUMENT
A method of operating a UI for controlling a virtual musical instrument implemented can include receiving an input corresponding to a selection of a cell within a particular array of cells arranged in a sequential arrangement within a cell matrix, each array of the cell matrix assigned to MIDI notes associated with audio sample data stored in a computer-readable medium that, when triggered, causes the audio sample data to output corresponding audio, and each cell within its particular array of the cell matrix, in response to being selected for playback and upon being triggered to begin playback, causes the audio sample data corresponding to the cell's particular array to be played. The method further includes determining that the input's duration is above a threshold time and expanding a size of an array containing the selected cell and adjusting the adjustable parameter of the selected cell based on the input.
Electronic Musical Instrument with Device
The invention pertains to devices utilized by artists that produce musical sounds and aesthetic lights, including lights that correspond to the sounds. More specifically, the invention pertains to a modular system comprising modules of a play device, such as a smart phone, a fingerboard comprising a keyboard and lights corresponding to the keys and a docking station for mounting and joining the play device and fingerboard together. Using music and light control application software loaded on the play device and the keys of the fingerboard, the play device and fingerboard exchange and communicate sound and light information and instructions with each other. The play device plays sounds and the fingerboard displays lights.
STRING INSTRUMENT FORMED AS AN INTEGRAL UNIT STRUCTURE
Stringed musical instrument including a unitary structure formed integrally by a body, a neck and a head from a solid block of non-wood rigid material by computer numerical control (CNC) machining, with the pegs, the bridge, the fingerboard and the strings mounted on said unitary structure, front panels and rear panels that seal said body and a fingerboard machined by CNC as a single piece and connected to said unitary structure in a removable and interchangeable manner.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MUSIC PRODUCTION
A controller device for the production of electronic music includes multiple control surfaces, including a touch sensitive display and a matrix of actuator pads, each of which are capable of operating in different modes simultaneously.
