An automated music composition and generation system having a system user interface operably connected to an automated music composition and generation engine, and supporting a method of scoring a selected media object with one or more pieces of digital music. The method uses the system user interface to select one or more musical experience descriptors and then apply the selected musical experience descriptors to the selected digital media object to indicate what, when and how particular musical events should occur in the one or more pieces of digital music to be automatically composed and generated by the automated music composition and generation engine. The generated piece of digital music is then used in musically scoring the selected digital media object.

Method for producing and streaming music generated from biofeedback
10636400 · 2020-04-28 ·

A method for producing and streaming music generated from biofeedback. The method employs machine-readable language instructions that alter received signals from a wearable biofeedback device, generating musical tones to be played on a portable electronic device and/or shared with others. The varying musical tones that are produced by the method can be modulated by the user to reach a targeted state of emotion.

MUSICAL STEP SEQUENCER AND CONTROLLER

A step sequencer with a four by sixteen grid of buttons is disclosed. The sequencer is used to generate patterns of sounds on different channels. The sequencer can be used as a hardware controller to control music production software. The grid of the sequencer emulates the virtual grid generated in a graphical user interface by the music production software. The grid of the hardware controller is used to control the corresponding grid on the graphical user interface.

Systems, devices, and methods for digital representations of music
10629176 · 2020-04-21 · ·

Systems, devices, and methods for encoding digital representations of musical compositions are described. Various components of a musical composition that are defined in modern music theory, such as notes and bars, are encoded as respective hierarchically-dependent data objects in a data file. The hierarchically-dependent data objects encode the musical composition in a tree-like data structure with modular nodes and adjustable relationships between nodes. Note start times and beat start times are encoded independently of one another and characterized by a timing relationship that captures the expressiveness imbued when notes and beats are not precisely synchronized. Musical variations that preserve the timing relationship between the notes and beats of the original composition are also generated and encoded.

According to an embodiment, there is provided a system and method for automatic AI-based song construction based on ideas of a user. It provides and benefits from a combination of expert knowledge resident in an expert engine which contains rules for a musically correct song generation and machine learning in an AI-based audio loop selection engine for the selection of fitting audio loops from a database of audio loops.

CUSTOMIZED AUDIO SPECTRUM GENERATION OF GAMING MUSIC

System, process and device configurations are provided for customized audio spectrum generation of gaming music. A method includes detecting at least one audio spectrum input for gaming music and updating a parameter for dynamic music generation based on the at least one audio spectrum input. The method also includes generating gaming music for the gaming system dynamically to include at least one musical motif determined based on the parameter, and output of gaming music. Frequency or tonalities of dynamic generated music that interfere with gameplay sound effects may be adjusted to improve gameplay. In some cases volume of sound elements may be shifted in volume or pitch to indicate presence of gaming elements or opportunities during gameplay. Similarly, frequency ranges may be customized to avoid one or more frequencies, such as a frequency range identified as being associated with hearing loss or with causing a disturbance, such as vibration.
