A handwritten music sign recognition device (10) has: a touch information obtaining part (21) which obtains, as position information, a position of an input means on a screen every time the input means moves, from when the input means touches the screen until when the input means is moved away therefrom; a vector information creation part (22) which creates attributes of a vector indicating a trace of movement of the input means as vector information based on the position information; and a stroke characteristic amount derivation part (23) which derives a characteristic amount of a stroke based on the vector information included in the stroke information.

Techniques are disclosed relating to determining composition rules, based on existing music content, to automatically generate new music content. In some embodiments, a computer system accesses a set of music content and generates a set of composition rules based on analyzing combinations of multiple loops in the set of music content. In some embodiments, the system generates new music content by selecting loops from a set of loops and combining selected ones of the loops such that multiple ones of the loops overlap in time. In some embodiments, the selecting and combining loops is performed based on the set of composition rules and attributes of loops in the set of loops.

A standard musical score represented in digital format is analyzed for its constituent parts in order to identify notational directives for traversing through the musical score. A linearized version of the musical score is generated that is in substantially the same visual format but allows the reader to traverse through the musical score exclusively in a forward direction and without need for jumps in a reverse direction or forward jumps beyond the subsequent consecutive page. In certain embodiments, forward jumps may be minimally limited to a page within the musical score while in other embodiments a forward jump may be minimally limited to a line or a measure. In yet other embodiments, reverse jumps may be entirely eliminated while in still other embodiments, reverse jumps within pages may remain unchanged.

A terminal for generating music may identify, based on execution of scenario recognition, scenarios for images previously received by the terminal. The terminal may generate respective description texts for the scenarios. The terminal may execute keyword-based rhyme matching based on the respective description texts. The terminal may generate respective rhyming lyrics corresponding to the images. The terminal may convert the respective rhyming lyrics corresponding to the images into a speech. The terminal may synthesize the speech with preset background music to obtain image music.

In accordance with implementations of the subject matter described herein, there is provided a solution for supporting a machine to automatically generate a song. In this solution, an input from a user is used to determine a creation intention of the user with respect to a song to be generated. Lyrics of the song are generated based on the creation intention. Then, a template for the song is generated based at least in part on the lyrics. The template indicates a melody matching with the lyrics. In this way, it is feasible to automatically create the melody and lyrics which not only conform to the creation intention of the user but also match with each other.

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method and apparatus for transmitting an image. The method includes converting, by a first device, an image to be transmitted into a number of sets of feature data according to a preset conversion rule; performing, by the first device, music composition according to preset music composition rules to obtain a music in accordance with musical tone rules through making each set of the number of sets of feature data correspond to one musical element; and playing, by the first device, the music to a second device. An image transmission manner utilizing a sound wave that is hearable to the human ear may be implemented.
